No, most of them are not. Vermont has undergone demographic changes over the last 40 years.
In other words, lots of left wingers from down country have showed up in droves. If you removed all those transplants (mostly, they come from New York), Vermont would usually vote Republican by about a 55-45 margin. Transplants vote left by about a 75-25.
In fact, Vermonters did not elect a Democrat in a statewide race from 1860 until 1962. Vermont still elects liberal Republicans as governor. Otherwise, statewide races go to Democrats.

I get called guilo frequently by my wife. Also a few times in China. I just chuckle. That name I get. When I was in the army several guys kept asking me “How many in a box?” I had no idea they were calling me a cracker. They had to explain that one, even what a cracker was. I had never heard that term before. I still laugh at the disappointment in their eyes for not getting the jab. After basic training, getting called names is actually humorous to me.

No sitting POTUS has ever been defeated in his reelection bid by anyone who hadn’t ever been a governor.I’m not thinking that Governor Duval Patrick is gonna get the nomination, or that if he does he’s gonna unseat POTUS Donald Trump and his booming economy. Who knows, tho, what ticket is going to come out of the DNC next year???
