I heard he resigned right in the middle, not at the end of his show yesterday. What was the deal with that?

He crossed the line and bashed the Bernie brownshirts...he’d been making lude comments for his entire career but it was used to walk him to the door.

Glad he's gone, as his comments were rather tiresome and unfounded.
Hope he remembers to thank OJ in his books, because that's how he became famous.

It was his big FU to the network. Leave them scrambling rather than a polite exit.

Who can blame him? She’s cute, and 74-year olds drool a lot, anyway.

I heard he resigned right in the middle, not at the end of his show yesterday. What was the deal with that? Yes he did. There are several videos posted on You Tube this morning showing his remarks at the beginning of the program. They then broke for a commercial, and when they came back, Steve Kornacki had taken over and finished the show. I don't know if Matthews blindsided the network, or if he was told just before air time to say goodbye and leave. When Kornacki came on, he clearly had the "deer in the headlights" look. I got the impression Kornacki had no idea this was about to happen when somebody grabbed him and told him he had to get on the air right away.

So the sleazy deceiver who made his contribution to destroying this Republic is resigned. Good riddance, though I seldom watched more than a minute of that dead soul’s airings. Perhaps the sleazy devil can now cure his leg tingle ... or not.

What happened? Chris started going off the reservation and ripping on Bernie. Apparently Chrissy does get outraged at liberal idiocy and Bernie is the one who pushed him over the edge. He’s 74 and doesn’t need the money, retiring is a good thing for him.
