The economy is being slaughtered. Millions of jobs eliminated. Businesses forced to close, with huge losses to the owners. Every danm last one of the governors, along with the president, is competing with the others to see how much they can escalate this thing.
Each one is trying to see if he can impose more restrictions, shut down more activities, force dependency on the government. We are under martial law, and it’s not being called that.
When this is over, millions will be out of work and the unemployment funds will be in negative territory. Government deficits will be enormous. They will tax the hell out of us, and that will impede the recovery.
There will be massive bankruptcies. Malls shut down. There’s not enough money in the universe to bail out every business.
In a week which is around the Presidents 15 days to slow ends we will know more. This will provide trends and comparison information for them to get a better understanding of the situation.
Americans can handle a week, and maybe the 15 days campaign can be explained a bit better so people can understand it.
After that if middle America is not spiked and the new ready access testing is available a decision will need to be made.
Several large cities will be struggling with the situation and how to handle them will be the question.
Now if all America spikes then shutting everything down failed and does it really matter to close everything anymore may as well just use the new testing system to try and have people better self quarantine.
Hopefully some of the new medicines President Trump courageously pushed through will be a blessing from God to the world,

People are proving themselves to be extremely lazy. So long as Uncle Sugar says he’s got their back and sends them “free” money, they’re glad to stay home.
Give this a month with no paychecks, the $1,000 per adult spent, and unemployment insurance either delayed or denied, and we’ll see just how much fun and games this martial law really means to people.
When the hypochondriac’s get a grip and calm down it will end,to may folk love fear it’s a rush to them.

When the media’s predictions of millions of deaths, mass graves, respirator shortages and overflowing hospitals do not materialize and the numbers of new cases are shown to be a product of newly available testing and not new cases, the public will give up this self quarantine. The availability of cheap and effective anti malarial drugs to treat the virus will end the panic. My bet is that in a few weeks this overreaction will end. With the stimulus money going directly to the people and warm weather, I expect many people will flock to restaurants and bars and buy consumer goods.
One thing about the empty store shelves, at least the people are experiencing what socialism will look like. If they are capable of putting 2+2 together.
Americans don’t have the patience or attention span that they had generations ago. I don’t think most Americans can hold out very long.
