One thing we've learned during this past election cycle, is that most of the stereotypes we have about people have been planted in our minds by the mass media.
On May 2, a Twitter user named "Channnn" posted photos of a stranger helping her father change his tire after it blew out on the freeway.
"So my dad's tire blew up on the freeway and this dude, with a confederate flag tattoo, wearing a confederate flag t-shirt, with confederate flag car stickers, stopped and changed our tire. My mind is blown, don't judge a book by its cover y'all."
The truth is, most people are good.
Bonus points for braving the rona without his maks!
He could still get seriesly kilt!

D’OH!!!
Cool that you didn’t stick this on your blog and try to take credit for it.
Yet.
I’ve been assisted on the road by total strangers many times. Never once did I judge them on their appearance. I’ve also been on the assisting end a few times including once when the fellow had been in a collision and was going into shock.
Reminds me of a song by Harry Chapin about the men of a town’s volunteer fire department helping some vagrants that were caught in a fire. The key lyric goes:
“Funny, when you get that close, it’s kinda hard to hate.”
In a crisis, you reach for any hand that offers theirs. You don’t ask them for their skin color or their politics.
OMG HE’S GONNA LYNCH HIM!
Evil racist flag! I’m sure he left the lug nuts loose.
Just because a man identifies with the South and the Confederacy, or even just the idea of being a rebel, doesn’t mean he supports slavery or segregation or hates blacks or anybody else. That’s almost like saying we Americans hate the British because we fought them in the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.
This was 3 years ago.
If it was 3 days ago, the flag shirt wearing guy would’ve been robbed, and probably shot.
And why wouldn’t he.
Leftist heads to explode in 3...2...1...
Next up. The Duke boys driving a 1969 Dodge Charger (named the General Lee) pull over and help s stranded Motorist who is Black.
The story wouldn’t warrant a top of the fold NYT Headline if the Motorist was Daisy Duke or any other White Supremacist.
This Country is insane.
This is clearly racism. He doesn’t think the black man knows how to change his own tire, soft bigotry of low expectations and all. /s
A servant’s heart is never out of date
I loved Freddy Mercury’s music and I’m a homophobe to the left.
Unfortunately, since this happened on or prior to May 6, 2018, I wonder if the good samaritan has been (pick one) gunned down / fired from his job / put on trial / imprisoned.
Why is this news-worthy? Asking for a friend.
“BLM.
