This would probably be a good time to remind everyone that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) refused to endorse Donald Trump for president at the RNC nominating convention back in 2016. We could have ended up with “President Hillary Clinton” because of that petty stunt, but fortunately, support for Trump was way too massive.
Cruz is easy to like for those of us on the right, so it’s always painful to watch when he has one of those “moments” where he figuratively pours gas on himself and lights a match. He had another one this week when delivering a speech in the Senate. Cruz said that the January 6 protests were a “violent terrorist attack,” using the approved talking points of Nancy Pelosi to describe what was actually a mostly peaceful protest.
That speech earned Cruz a trip to the forefront of the world of memes, and this little gem where he’s wearing one of the pink yarn hats from the Women’s March. A violent terrorist attack?
Good grief! Many of the people targeted by the Justice Department since that day are our friends and neighbors. It really was a mostly peaceful protest. Whose side is Ted Cruz on, anyway?

The technical term is pink pussy hat. It’s called that for a few reasons.
Cruz made his apology on national television. Go ahead and pile on him if ya like, but remember, if Texas goes blue so goes the nation.
Let’s not eat our own. He made a mistake and he owned up to it after taking a flaming from Tucker Carlson who did the job other journalist/commentators should be doing. I mean took Cruz to the woodshed.
So, let’s move on. Cruz is a conservative and has done allot of good for the conservative cause.
This is terrible! I saw him try and explain with Tucker and he’s just blown it. We need this guy to stay with the program and he just showed his true colors. He’s in on it with the rest of the commies.
I suspect much of the illegality and violence of January 6th, 2021 was due to leftist provocateurs.

More disgusting than calling that a violent terrorist attack, was Cruz remembering January 6 as a “solemn day” because politicians were afwaid rather than a day millions of Americans made their voices heard.
His apology was not very strong. He kept making excuses for what he said. He kept trying to wiggle out of “apologizing” but Tucker would have none of it.

Hard to believe someone as apparently sharp as he could blow it so massively.
He merely showed he does not have the courage of his convictions. In any case, Cruz is not up for re-election until 2024. Sounds like he's not even running for senator since he thinks it's "his turn" to be the GOP nominee for POTUS.
No Cruz is not a conservative he’s a calculating opportunist.
Cruz immediately took a 5h!7 load of flack from his constituents here in Texas. Cruz requested Tucker bring him on his show after the backlash because he KNEW he needed to explain his comments.
The guy made a mistake. The left will use this to pile on him, you can be certain of it.
He apologized. That’s all the man can do. My fear is the leftist will do what leftist do, plant negative comments on various social media platforms over and over pretending to be former Cruz supporters giving up on him.
They will whittle down his support then run a strong leftist name against him down the road, pouring hundreds of millions of $$$$ into this state from outside to turn this state blue.
Mark my words. We need to let it go. Trump has made some bone headed statements as well in regards to the mRNA vaccines. His ego concerning “operation warp speed” overloaded his mouth. People moved on from it because they know damn well beating him up for his vaccine support will whittle down his base.
So, people, let’s not give the leftist victory.
Ted Cruz has become a very unlikable person. He did this to himself. I will be donating $100 to his primary opponent.

About 80 million Americans voted to make a demented old man President of the United States.
Almost everyone here knew in October 2021 that Joe Biden was suffering from severe dementia.
Most Republican state legislators also knew Joe Biden was suffering from severe dementia, but they did nothing.
The Republican state legislatures should have called Joe Biden in for questioning and professional medical examination in mid-November and appointed new electors as indicated and as intended by the second paragraph of Article II Section 1 of the Constitution.
