What’s Really Behind Trump Lashing Out at Gov DeSantis and Gov “Young Kin” After Midterm Elections?
100%FedUp ^ | Nov 11, 2022 | Amber Crawford

Posted on 11/12/2022 7:56:35 AM PST by SoConPubbie

After most of the midterm elections concluded, Donald Trump turned to the social media platform Truth Social to criticize Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who many speculate will be competing with Trump for the GOP nomination in the 2024 presidential election. He also targeted Virginia Governor Glenn Younkin (R), who could throw his hat in the ring for the presidential elections as well.

On Thursday, Trump posted a lengthy message on Truth Social, nicknaming DeSantis “DeSanctimonious.” He diminished DeSantis’ handling of Covid and insisted that he is responsible for the Republican governor’s success. Trump said,

“Now that the midterms are over, and a success…

NewsCorp, which is Fox, the Wall Street Journal, and the no longer great New York Post (bring back Col!), is all in for Governor Ron DeSanctimonious, an average REPUBLICAN Governor with great Public Relations, who didn’t have to close up his State, but did, unlike other Republican Governors, whose overall numbers for a Republican, were just average – middle of the pack – including COVID, and who has the advantage of SUNSHINE, where people from badly run States up North would go no matter who the Governor was, just like I did!

Ron came to me in desperate shape in 2017 – he was politically dead, losing in a landslide to a very good Agriculture Commissioner, Adam Putnam, who was loaded up with cash and great poll numbers. Ron had low approval, bad polls, and no money, but he said that if I would Endorse him, he could win. I didn’t know Adam so I said, “Let’s give it a shot, Ron.” When I Endorsed him it was as though, to use a bad term, a nuclear weapon went off. Years later, they were the exact words that Adam Putnam used in describing Ron’s Endorsement. He said, “I went from having it made, with no competition, to immediately getting absolutely clobbered after your Endorsement.” I then got Ron by the “Star” of the Democrat Party, Andrew Gillum (who was later revealed to be a “Crack Head”), by having two massive Rallies with tens fo thousands of people at each one.

I also fixed his campaign, which had completely fallen apart. I was all in for Ron, and he beat Gillum, but after the Race, when votes were being stolen by the corrupt Election process in Broward County, and Ron was going down ten thousand votes a day, along with now-Senator Rick Scott, I sent in the FBI and the U.S. Attorneys, and the ballot theft immediately ended, jus prior to them running out of the votes necessary to win. I stopped his Election from being stolen. And now, Ron DeSanctimonious is playing games! The Fake News asks him if he’s going to run if President Trump runs, and he says, “I’m only focused on the Governor’s race, I’m not looking into the future.” Well, in terms of loyalty and class, that’s really not the right answer…

This is just like 2015 and 2016, a Media Assault (Colusion!), when Fox News fought me to the end until I won, and then they couldn’t have been nicer or more supportive. The Wall Street Journal loved Low Energy Jeb Bush, and a succession of other people as they rapidly disappeared from sight, finally falling in line with me after I easily knocked them out, one by one. We’re in exactly the same position now. They will keep coming after us, MAGA, but ultimately, we will win. Put America First and, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

On Friday morning, Trump posted about Youngkin, pointing out how much he helped the Virginia governor win the election, and how Youngkin “couldn’t have come close to winning” without his help.

“Young Kin (now that’s an interesting take. Sounds Chinese, doesn’t it?) in Virginia couldn’t have won without me. I Endorsed him, did a very big Trump Rally for him telephonically, got MAGA to Vote for him – or he couldn’t have come close to winning. But he knows that, and admits it. Besides, having a hard time with the Dems in Virginia – But he’ll get it done!”

“And we lost a senate seat.”

____________

Not due to Trump, dirty politics.

To what action or words by DeSantis is Trump retorting? We really need to stop the GRATUITOUS attacks; they’re counterproductive.

The establishment RINOs, George and Jeb Bush in particular, financed Joe O'Dea. RINO O'Dea then goes on enemy media and trashes Trump and endorses a list of three candidates including DeSantis.

Days later, DeSantis returns the establishment Never Trumper RINO's favor and endorses O'Dea. Trump then takes a dig at DeSantis' arguably sanctimonious commercial.

Add to that DeSantis when asked refuses to say whether he will enter the race.

Add to that some of the worse establishment scum including Paul Ryan and Karl Rove are out and about pushing DeSantis.

Those are the actions and words and lack of words.

What did the GOP run on? That’s a good question, eh! They didn’t. They threw this red wave under the bus and they colluded again with Democrats/RINOs to let them keep power.

Despite that, President Trump had a good election return on investment.

People trying to convince you otherwise are attempting to lie to you about who lost this election. It wasn’t President Trump, it was the GOP establishment in power doing every trick in the book to only elect more RINOs.

Bingo. They fear he will announce and then work on 2024 to further strengthen the legislatures/senate where he can with people who will work for “ the people”
and not themselves...

“we’ve lost 18, 20, and now 22”

DeSantis flipped Miami-Dade county from -2o to +7 points and won a tossup state by 20.

Trump is now sucking up to Rubio.

“159 Trump endorsees won and 17 lost. The endorsement success rate in that group of races was 90%.”

Completely irrelevant. His picks lost key Senate seats we needed to flip the Senate. Especially Pa where we were walloped by an eggplant... and Arizona, and maybe Nevada.

It’s not all Trump’s fault, but they were his picks and he has nothing to brag about in a midterm where the out of power, Party, usually wins big. 40 year Inflation and we can’t win big is a devastating result.

Did I miss something or did this article never really get around to explaining “what’s behind” Trump’s attacks?

No, it did not, not even if you follow the link. But based on almost all the examples it provided, it appeared to be more focused on asking DeSantis to step aside for Trump now, and wait until 2028 before running for President.

But 8 years is a long way away, especially if Trump loses.

Do this and it just goes on and on...

Throw it there for the public to see and it mostly come to a head somewhere along the line...

"I’m done with Trump. He is now just a bloviating blow hard." Alas, it certainly looks like this is the case. Much like Alex Jones, he's become his own worst enemy.

"Little Marco." "Low Energy Jeb." "Lyin' Ted." "'That Face' Fiorino." "Crooked Hillary." "Faux-cahontas." "Sleepy Joe."

President Trump has always "attacked" his political rivals in this fashion. He hasn't changed.

People that are worn down by the psy-ops of the Dems, Rinos and media are just looking for an excuse to find a new candidate to support, foolishly thinking that the enemy attacks will stop once President Trump is no longer the candidate.

It’s a bit ironic that a lot of conservatives are now rejecting Trump due to mean tweets.

*******************************

It’s not the mean tweets. His political instincts are really off. I think the Dems broke him.
Instead of courting the people he needs on his side, he is attacking them.
I honestly think Desantis would not have run if Trump had played nice. I believe now it is almost a guarantee he will run.

It was Trumps ego that cause this feud.
I have listen to him say for years (yes years) that Desantis was nothing until his endorsement. Whether it’s true or not, it is really insulting, and there is only so much someone is going to take of that crap. That is why Desantis didn’t ask for his endorsement, and wouldn’t attend any Trump rallies. He was not going to let Trump take credit for his win again.

Now, the tables have turned, and Trump needs him, and Desantis is going to shove it right up his a**.

Trump won’t win Florida, and you can bet that the party will be picking other early primary states that are not at all favorable to Trump.

He is done.

But eventually he picked the wrong one in DeSantis.

And I don’t even think DeSantis is going to run.

Trump was always going to fight with one arm tied behind his back with the GOPe.

And it won’t be any different with DeSantis if he runs in 2024.

“Add to that DeSantis when asked refuses to say whether he will enter the race.”

He didn’t refuse to answer. Crist’s question was not per debate rules and D appropriately just ignored it.

Is it legal for Trump to fix the Florida governor race? Gilliam has asked for an investigation. Why does trump get himself into these things?

It is important to Trump that he take credit for Ron DeSantis' historic landslide re-election, particularly after his handpicked candidates in every other race went down in flames.
