As President Trump continues to dominate the 2024 GOP presidential primaries, attention has turned to who he will pick as his running mate. Now, we have a list of names Trump and his team are reportedly considering, but a potential wild card lurks.
On Thursday, Axios published an extensive piece detailing the potential makeup of a Trump Cabinet in a second term. The 45th President and his team’s primary focus is ensuring all positions in government will be filled with people loyal to the America-first agenda and Trump.
As Gateway Pundit readers know, Trump’s first term was marred by disloyal RINOs and globalists seeking to sabotage him at every turn. John Bolton, Mark Esper, and William Barr were some of the most notorious figures.
Axios also reveals that Trump openly speaks to his friends about several possibilities for running mate. The key consideration outlined by Trump and his closest confidants is agreeing that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen and former Vice-President Mike Pence betrayed the country by allowing the election’s certification.
According to Axios, here are the four individuals under the most serious discussion by Trump and most trusted advisers:
** Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) – Axios notes he might prefer to remain in the U.S. Senate.
** Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who served as the White House Press Secretary from 2017 to 2019.
** Former TV anchor and current 2024 Arizona GOP Senate Candidate Kari Lake
** South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem
The outlet also notes Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) desires the running mate position.
Trump and his team have also mentioned Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
But in an interesting twist, former First Lady Melania Trump is pushing for her husband to select former Fox News host and X/Twitter star Tucker Carlson. Moreover, she would reportedly be willing to campaign cross-country for the ticket.
From Axios:

I think Byron Donalds would be great
At least they have political experience. Kari Lake and Tucker a lot of people would have a hard time seeing as president. Not that I necessarily agree but realistically it would likely hurt much more than help.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I fully agree. I could see either one as Press Secretary, although my strong preference there would be Lake. She would kick ass and take names. Carlson is too affable and not as battle-tested. Yes, I love his stuff, but it’s a little bit inside a bubble.
Agree it can’t be a deep stater or any choice that reminds voters of Pence. Personally I like Elise Stefanik but someone like that apparently isn’t a consideration.
The traitorous RINOs have allowed Democrats to take over everything, which has resulted in illegals and fentanyl flooding the state.
Unfortunately, with a Democrat Governor in Kentucky, we don't need to take out a Republican Senator in 2024.
But there are others. MAGA has a much better group from which to select leaders, than either of the two dominant political parties have to offer to lead this nation unless the goal is the destruction of this nation. In that case, the two political parties, controlled by the Deep State, has it all over MAGA for destructive leaders from which to choose from.
BTW, I haven't seen any posts on the debate last night. So, can I assume that Trump has won another debate?
I say shove Gen Flynn up the deep state’s ass as VP.
Nobody really cares about the VP pick anyway, so make it somebody good.
The voters are deciding between Biden and Trump. VP choice makes very little difference.
My butt would be Sarah, Kari, or Tucker.
Give it to Lake. She got burned by these lying misfits just like Trump...
Whoever he picks has to be 10000000000 percent loyal to him..no more of this “Well the person is the anti trump so its a good fit” NO, it has to be someone who is 100000 percent behind him, not stabbing him in the back, or talking behind his back, 1000 percent loyal to him period
I like Tucker and Vivek.
Sanders would VP choice. Especially for VP, but if not VP, almost any top position. All the others mentioned should have high positions. General Flynn needs to be very high up. He’s earned his stripes and suffered for his support.
I'm fairly certain that Mike Pence was not Trump's first choice for VP. Pence was likely thrust upon him in exchange for the GOP supporting Trump in the general campaign.
In other words, Pence was a Deep State insurance policy. One that paid off for them in January 2021.
Lake or Tucker then Noem.
Whoever it is, I hope both their parents are/were citizens of the United States.
I’m not sure my ears could handle any more parrots squawking:
“They aren’t a natural born citizen!”
“They aren’t a natural born citizen!”
I look forward to the people Trump will fire on inauguration day....if they don’t quit before then.
I like them both but practically speaking, a red state governor ain’t gonna be it.
Ben Carson
“10000000000 percent loyal to him
100000 percent behind him
1000 percent loyal to him period”
???????????????????
Sounds like you’re negotiating here. /jk
