Patriots and Politics

Have been busy updating the Patriots and Politics web site (http://www.patriotsandpolitics.com/) for the coming election cycle. Hope to eventually list most of the congressional candidates, including links to their campaign sites, their ACU ratings and other info, plus links back to the state forums on FR for each candidate. Also hoping people find this a useful site.

Thanks,

Jim

Found your site for the first time last week when I did a google on Gephardt. Saw the page on Bill Federer challenges Dick Gephardt for U.S. Congress

Have you heard about the new challenger, Catherine S. Enz? She seems to be a strong candidate. I'm worried that the new district lines will guarantee a win for Gephardt.

Jim:

You missed Texas 2 in the House which has a REAL republican patriot (Van Brookshire) against a VERY bad, trial lawyer owned, dimocrat (Jim Turner).

Van Brookshire For Congress

Thanks! Bigun

Yes, I have her listed on the Missouri page. I'm not going to have enough time to build a separate page for each candidate this year. Just have links to their campaign web sites and a link to our state pages in the Campaign 2002 forum. Hope people will post enough articles here by state and candidate to keep us all informed.
Thanks,
Jim

Ok, got him in there now. In my first pass, I picked up mostly Republican incumbents, open seats and new districts. Now I'll have to make another pass to get the challengers in.
Thanks,
Jim

Great job, Jim!! I was hoping we'd have a place to list all the slate of all the conservative Senate candidates side-by-side.

A few local suggestions for when you update the site:

1) I wouldn't waste space profiling "safe" incumbants running unopposed, especially if they're fairly ignored among conservatives here. (Sen. Warner, Sen. Stevens, etc.)

2) Instead I would do a couple profiles of "long shot" conservative Senate candidates who could THEORETICALLY win and have a big following here (i.e. Jim Durkin of Illinois, Jay Wolfe of West Virgina). Obviously that probably wouldn't include unfortunate fellows that have NO shot at winning like the token opposition to Jack Reed.

3) Please add the guy running in my district, the very conservative Ray Wardingley (running against Bobby Rush in Illinois' 1st). He was featured last time.

4) Henry Hyde is in Illinois' 6th district. ;-)

Thanks again!

Jim, Rob Beckham, a good conservative is trying to unseat Charlie Stenholm, a 20 some year democrat incumbent for Texas 17th district house seat. Stenholm must be scared, because he is running incessant tv and radio adds saying how he is working with Bush so well! His site is
