Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

Monday, November 3, 2003

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

I always get upset about people making jokes about "bulls**t" since cow manure is really valuable stuff. Whereas liberals/Dem'o'craps are basically criminally insane.

(Your joke is funny though!)

There could be another reason for that guy's interest in anhydrous ammonia. There is a lot of money to be made reselling stolen anhydrous ammonia to manufacturers of crystal meth.

Absolutely. Bagged and Tagged.

The result is tremendous progress in the past 48 hours in dismantling of their network, and I want to emphasize this, we are now dismantling alQaeda from the top down. Mid-level and bottom up arrests are not what's happening.

We are landing BIG FISH.

That alone speaks volumes.

Any Idea when this info of OBL being caught might be released?

I could understand a delay for safe passage from a hostile country like Iran, or Tribal Areas near PAK/Afg border. Do you think thats whats happening?

Given the terrorist issues, taking pictures might be perceived as gathering intel for a future action. I was taking pictures last week too, but they are for presentation to a working group in Chicago next week. My wife and kids haven't ever seen pictures of the research caboose, coal cars and power plant where I have been working over the past few months. A picture of the caboose and one of the huge hyperbolic cooling towers is below. This plant burns 1000 pounds of coal per second. One of the 5 research coal cars is immediately to the right.

"Saddam's WMD hidden in Syria, says Iraq survey chief"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "David Kay, the former head of the coalition's hunt for Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, yesterday claimed that part of Saddam Hussein's secret weapons programme was hidden in Syria.

In an exclusive interview with The Telegraph, Dr Kay, who last week resigned as head of the Iraq Survey Group, said that he had uncovered evidence that unspecified materials had been moved to Syria shortly before last year's war to overthrow Saddam."

The plant is burning very low sulfur coal from Wyoming. There is a constant flow of inbound trains to keep the plant going. They keep enough "spare" coal on the ground to cover supply disruptions. I looked over my photos and didn't have any showing the ammonia tanks with the windsock on top. The small tank farm is at ground level and was obscured by the line of cars on the maintenance spurs.

The scalar EM stuff makes you sit up and take notice. Given the suggested capability to set up an anti-ballistic missile shield, it gives one pause to consider why the U.S. didn't put up much of a fight over the ABM treaties around 1972. Perhaps we mastered the technology and no longer viewed the ABM restrictions as a problem. I hope so.

I was sitting up in the crow's nest on a tuna seiner one afternoon when a white cloud wafted across the main deck. I had a decision to make. If fire, get down ASAP. If ammonia, stay put. It was fire, so I left immediately.

Another day did not turn out so nice. I had just finished the public address system work on the Rosalie Marie. The cook spotted my truck as I was enroute back to the office. He decided to do a check on all the PA stations to report back to the captain. By the time I had returned to my office, an emergency call on marine VHF channel 16 was calling for an ambulance to come to the Rosalie Marie. The cook was testing the PA station in the shaft alley (between the fish wells) when an ammonia line blew. He died immediately. I missed sharing his fate by about 10 minutes.

David Kay, the former head of the coalition's hunt for Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, yesterday claimed that part of Saddam Hussein's secret weapons programme was hidden in Syria.

In an exclusive interview with The Telegraph, Dr Kay, who last week resigned as head of the Iraq Survey Group, said that he had uncovered evidence that unspecified materials had been moved to Syria shortly before last year's war to overthrow Saddam.

"We are not talking about a large stockpile of weapons," he said. "But we know from some of the interrogations of former Iraqi officials that a lot of material went to Syria before the war, including some components of Saddam's WMD programme. Precisely what went to Syria, and what has happened to it, is a major issue that needs to be resolved."

And if you live near a large paper manufacturing plant, be assured those large tanks you see contain chlorine and other lethal chemicals used in the manufacturing process of the pulp. Same instructions: run uphill if chemicals are released.

That white cloud is scary. I saw the line to the spraying apparatus blow once. Fortunately an E-stop in the tractor can shut the main valve off. We(Me and two of the farm boys) generally hung around the farm as we were in our early teens while the older brothers did much of the actual work cept bailing hay(I musta bailed 30 thousand bales). When that hose blew, we were on the other side of the 100 acre field. We saw the guys fleeing like rats cept the guy in the cab who had a full mask. Even he ran after hitting the E-stop.

We were scared witless as the old man continually warned us about how bad this stuff was.

We also got to witness any number of ANFO stump bombs, but I never really paid attention to the mix or how they did it. Was just a fun day watching the stumps blow up, heh. We used the little tractor to drag the stumps off to a big pile and we got to have a HUGE (150 foot+ flames) bonfire at some point later on. Used Lots and lots of gas and WOOOF...Now that's a FIRE! That pile burned for a week.

Sorry to hear about the cook. May he rest in peace.
