Special Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
OK, rosie's back so now can we move? :~D
Or "yellow"
Awww...must we?
The classes come through a satelite dish...all the classes...K-12. I check the schedule for when the classes I need are offered (Kindergarten for Joshua, 5th Grade for Matthew). They are the same time every week...a week's worth of classes at a time. Then I schedule the VCRs to come on every week at the right time for the correct amount of time and record the class. So every day I just have to make sure the right tape is in the right VCR...having two VCRs made it so I only have to put the tapes in in the morning, instead of periodically throughout the day.
It sounds a bit involved, but it really isn't! Once I got it all set up, it's easy! Every day I have two VCRs recording classes, while Joshua views his classes on another VCR in the livingroom that I recorded the week before and Matthew views the classes I recorded the week before on TV/VCR combo in the study.
But it's so comfortable here!
Okay, let me know how that goes. Most apartments I've been in will let the delivery guy leave a stickie on the door even if he can't physically deliver the package due to locks in the lobby. You might have someone send you a test package with something un-expensive in it and see what happens. If you're going to TA you should also be able to receive packages through the Computer Science department.
Gotta go work out here; back later.
No, they told me I'd have to go to the UPS or Post Office to get the packages. Dunno how much work that would be. The Department might recieve mail for me, I don't know yet.
If all else fails, I bet you could find a friend who'd let you use their address.
