Finished with the hair dye job - the highlights look really good, for a kit from the drugstore! This evening Mom and the uncool sister and I are going shoping - I need a less casual summer shirt for during my trip next week - and for dinner. Has been a good Saturday!
I mowed and am now watering. I love to sit and watch the sprinkler after mowing. Good sense of accomplishment in that. :~D
Later, we are going to the beach house overnight. Need to take our VCR up there so we can edit and then copy the wedding tapes, and a few other tapes dad wants to play with.

I got one of the bothers to wash my car. Ought to have called a few of these rental places, maybe I can do that Monday... oh well.
I think pictures of your new highlighted hair would be more interesting! Nothing too much new about our yard!

I've been jotting down my newest fanfic idea. Here's a rough draft of Chapter One :)

Harry Potter and the CGI of Doom
Chapter 1: Bad Dreams and Bad Films
Harry Potter nearly screamed as his eyes snapped open from his nightmare. He had made the mistake of joining the Dursleys in watching "The Phantom Menace" on DVD before bed. He had been dreaming that the Dursleys and everyone at Hogwarts had been transformed into Gungans like Jar-Jar Binks and they were chasing him like the dementors had done. Jar-Jars were closing in on him from all sides when the fright woke him up and his dream was cut mercifully short.
As the sweat dripped down his brow, he became aware that his forehead ached, in the place where Voldemort had inflicted the lightning-shaped scar on it. He suddenly remembered that in his dream the Jar-Jars had had lightning-shaped scars on their foreheads, too. Did his dream have something to do with Voldemort?
He lay awake thinking about it for many minutes before his heart-rate finally calmed down and he decided he’d better get back to sleep. Tomorrow was the first day of school and he needed to get up on time. After he got to school he would ask Dumbledore about it.

“I was afraid of this,” Dumbledore frowned after Harry described his dream. “You-Know-Who is back.”
“Voldemort?” Harry shouted. “I knew it!”
“No,” Professor McGonagall corrected him, “it’s a different You-Know-Who. There’s more than one, you know.”
Harry looked puzzled.
“We sometimes call this one He-We-Do-Not-Name to keep from getting him mixed up with Voldemort,” Dumbledore began to explain. He sighed and looked regretful, as if recalling a bad memory he’d have preferred to avoid. “Before Voldemort,” he finally continued after a heavy pause, “There was another Hogwarts student who went bad—he was Voldemort’s mentor in the black arts, in fact. He was three times more evil than Voldemort. He used his evil power to create evil movies.”
“Movies?” Harry asked, confused.
“Yes, movies,” Professor McGonagall intervened. “He-We-Do-Not-Name realized that whereas up to now he had only been able to corrupt one person like Voldemort at a time, with movies he could reach out and influence many at once. So he began making films—-horribly bad films. He would use them to hypnotize unwitting victims and influence their brainwaves so that he could control them. He also made some particularly nasty ones that could be used to assassinate his enemies. . .” Her voice trailed off, as if she were shirking away from continuing an unpleasant train of thought.
Dumbledore reluctantly continued for her, slowly, as if to brace Harry for bad news. “On the night your parents were killed,” he said, “a tape of one of He-We-Do-Not-Name’s movies was found in their VCR. It’s believed Voldemort put it there, and that’s how he killed your parents—by tricking them into watching this film.”
“That’s horrible!” Harry cried. “Who is this He-We-Do-Not-Name? I must find him and stop him before he kills anyone else with his horrible films. What is his real name?”
Dumbledore sighed. “We do not usually say the name of He-We-Do-Not-Name because even to speak his name is perilious. But since it appears he is now after you, it is best you know.” Dumbledore paused before forcing himself to say it. “His name is Bakshi—-Ralph Bakshi.”
The very sound sent a shudder of ice down Harry Potter’s spine.

It's about time!--she's late today :)
Just about to head out the door here; back in a while.
The documentation on my video card says I can do it but I haven't tried it yet. I'll have to wait until I get my regular VCR to Kansas because the one built into the tv that I got doesn't have video/audio out thingies.
*Sniff* Listened to the rain on the leaves this morning.
Cool.... thanks for what you know about it.... we are curious to know how hard it would be to set ourselves up to do it.... Or... if later on when you have your VCR if you could do it? - Maybe?
Yeah, I'd just have to figure out how to do it. I can connect the VCR to the video card. I need to find video recording software.
I'll also check with Ramius.... I think this is one of the things his company has to do from time to time.
Has there been any activity on selling your house?
