With due respect, I also get to say what I saw. Bush was a weak debater and I just hope he is more forceful next time around.

There are a 100 things I wish he would have said, most importantly that the so called major allies that Kerry harps on -- France, Russians (and to a lesser degree the Germans) were in fact Saddam's allies not the US's in this whole affair. They are the reason the US went to war....they betrayed the US in UN process and emboldened Saddam.
However, Bush as President could not say those, and MANY more, things. As a challenger he could have, but he still has to run our foreign policy why running for reelection.
He was hamstrung by BEING PRESIDENT. This was start of round one and the effects from this debate will change day to day until the round two, the next debate. In the mean time, there are clips of Kerry (such as saying we have to pass the global test to strike at terrorists) that will get huge play between now and the next debate...so we shall see.
