I will keep you in my prayers. It's funny how some people will make fun of somebody who struggles with this, then go home and drink themselves silly. Bondage in sin is bondage, regardless of what it is.
Joe, praise God that you have found the answer that all of us must seek. There are all kinds of sins and we all sin. Only through the blood of Christ can we overcome them. It's never easy to lay our sins down and we only succeed with the major ones. I've struggled with the sin of pride all my life and still do every day. You have choosen to help others. That is a good way to conquer your own weaknesses. God love you.
It was taken as such E.T. Not to worry :-) I know that by and large there is true character among Freepers. I felt like this was the right place for this message. Believe it or not, there are alot of men and women who are both conservative and yet identify with their homosexuality. Most have been sold a bill of goods, convinced that it is who they are and that there is no choice in the matter. They are not evil people, they are captives of evil thought patterns that can only be released through the cleansing power of God's Word. It's just not something I can keep to myself as much as I would like to put it all behind me. I have work to do.

I wasn't suggesting that you are, Joe. I was responding to bmwcycle whose posting of your signup date seemed to be implying that your thread is phony.
By your admission/confession, you run the risk of alienating heterosexuals (who may deride you or shun you) and alienating homosexuals (who will surely berate you for "not being true to your feelings"). Consequently, your decision to approach this problem forthrightly and attempt to help other's facing similar struggles strikes me as very courageous.
May God continue to bless you with the power and courage of the Holy Spirit to keep you free from Sin. May the Peace of God be with you always, now and forever.
