Man Sentenced For Assaulting Boy In Bathroom
Stroud Receives Seven Years In Prison

PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- A man was sentenced Monday to seven years in prison for assaulting a boy in a Pickerington restaurant bathroom, NBC 4's Kyle Anderson reported.

James Stroud, 23, pleaded guilty in December to one count of kidnapping and one count of gross sexual imposition.
Prosecutors said Stroud approached a 9-year-old boy in December 2003 in the restroom of the Cracker Barrel restaurant located at state Route 256 and Interstate 70.
Prosecutors said they are satisfied with the sentence.
"Unfortunately, the maximum sentence would have been 10 years if we would have gone to trial," assistant Fairfield County prosecutor Gregg Marx said. "To get 70 percent of a sentence on a plea, we're quite pleased with."
According to prosecutors, Stroud was convicted in a similar case in Columbus but served no jail time.
"(The customers) don't want to be called heroes, but I think they are"
Seems our policemen is incapable of accurate descriptions.
If they didn't go in to actually find out what was happening, and confront the GUY (he is no gentlemen, officer), they are not heroes. Phoning for help was the very least they could do.

There is not a jury in Texas would convict you. We had a similar circumstance at a large discount chain store a while back. Perv was beaten severly by father: broken nose, broken arm, several teeth missing, broken ribs, damage to genitals, uncounted abrasions and cuts. PD came and had to pry dad off of perv. Lucky they were in teh store at the time. He had his head in commode trying to drown him. They carted perv away ( actually ambulance did ) no other arrests were made.
When the police got there, that's why; "he was found". He may have known some commotion was going on - duh! The kid screamed.
I don't know, maybe some1 did go in and catch him - or at least, corner him while at arm's length. The stories aren't explicist. But it sounded like maybe the kid got away while screaming. So of course the dude would be afraid to leave, cuz screaming drew attention to the bathroom. How would he escape?

A psychiatrist that is my client, indicated data show there is no possible "rehabilitation" for the majority of pedophile sex criminals.
It surprised me, for she had come across as anything but a strident law enforcement type of person. She came across as the compassionate helping professional.
But she flatly stated the pedophiles should be off the street for good.
Ugh, I have been to this cracker barrel many times, most recently to breakfast with my mother last week. It makes me sick that elements like this have infected this wonderful community. It really was/is a shock. This is a wonderful family oriented community and I suspect they at least got a few punches in the gut on this turd in the interest of restraining him before he went into police custody--at least one can hope. Just as I felt when first reading this, this is too close to home--ugh!
