Earlier Today, my official FR noob innitiation whatever forced me to realize the frivolousness of my previous post. Over 200 comments and not one positive. In result, i have typed this in hopes of regaining my reputation as someone aware of what geos on in the world, and doesn't worry about "Schadenfreude" (See last post) So here it is, "Illegal Immigration and the INS"
Illegal immigration. Most blow off the subject, after all, the liberals say, it’s the illegal immigrants that do the jobs that most American citizens don’t want to do, they “help shape our economy by taking the lower level jobs that most Americans would not under any circumstance be willing to take”. I’ll tell you why this has partially come true in our nation, it’s because the left is never willing to solve this hazardous problem in our nation. U.S. laws should be enforced in the states to keep these illegal immigrants from border hopping and mooching off our tax driven society of which they contribute little or none back.
Many indivuduals have begun depending upon the jobs of these illegal immigrants. If these illegal immigrants would simply be deported back to their mother countries, people would find would realize that the need has risen for jobs, the lazy individuals who beg for money on the street could actually find themselves a job as opposed to sitting begging for money. And the youth of our nation would stop partying every second of their lives and actually contribute to our nations economy.
Our welfare programs have become a cheat out of working for many lazy american citizens. Welfare was designed to help get somebody back on their feet when a hardship occurs that tempoarily limits someones income below some standard set in our economy. People are taking advantage of this program and using it as their main source of income. What needs to be done is very simple, and involves deporting these illegal immigrants and taking these able bodied citizens that are too lazy to work and fill the jobs that the illegals once took. Welfare should only last for an extended period of time, and after such should be stopped. For by then, that person should have been given or offered some kind of job, whether it be mowing lawns or washing dishes. There are always jobs to be filled, and there will always be somebody to fill such a job.
When the need for jobs arrived, there is going to be somebody there to fill it, somebody legal who has the right to that job more than somebody who has broken the law. As we speak, and as I type, millions of illegal immigrants are crossing the border between Mexico and the United states, or even Canada and the United states, without visas, without citizenship cards, and with no hope for the future.
Now if you possibly think for a second without knowing the facts, illegal immigration might actually appeal as a possibly good situation. After all, these people have a chance at starting a new life in the United States and keeping a family alive and together. There is only one problem with this logic, while these immigrants are starting a new life for themselves; they are doing it illegally, and at the expense of American people. Now you may wonder how it is at the expense of the American people. I will show you. Below is the average cost for the approximately 8.7 million illegal immigrants currently living in our country 8 MILLION!
education-$8 billion imprisonment for crimes-$1.5 billion welfare-$6 billion food stamps-$7 billion health care-$1.4 billion
And these costs are growing rapidly.
These expenses are coming out of American taxpayers wallets, for people who have violated American laws. Now while I am sure that there are those out there who have honestly made themselves a home in the US, simply starting a new life is not the only aspect at which an individual can look upon immigration. Here are some numbers taken from the 2000 census: from the middle east-114,818 people. That’s 30,823 from Iran, which has been claimed as part of the “axis of evil”, and 59,623 from countries such as Afghanistan, the home base of Osama Bin Laden. Too add to the fury, over 2 million immigrants come to America every year and over stay their visas.
In 1998, the justice department inspector general, Michael Bromwich led a special investigation of the border patrol between Canada and The United States. The final report was shocking and disturbing when it was finally presented to congress in April of 1999. The report was entitled “Bombs in Brooklyn: How the two illegal aliens arrested for plotting to bomb the New York Subway Entered and Remained in the United States” In his report, Bromwich stated that the border extends for almost four thousand miles, and the Clinton-Gore administration had assigned only 300 border patrol agents to impede criminals and terrorist from border hopping into the U.S. That’s right, I said 300 border patrol agents, not 3000, but 300 agents patrolling a 4000 mile border. That means only one agent for every 13 and one-third miles, definitely not enough to stop a terrorist at large from crossing the border. But not only that, Bromwich also reported that there was sometimes not coverage from midnight till morning on the border watches. That meant that all a criminal had to do was simply wait until nighttime to make his advance.
Gazi Ibrahim Abu Mezer, a known terrorist involved in the plot to bomb the new York Subway System, was in fact apprehended by border patrol officers three times and released on bond by a judge. Mezer later had the guts to apply for a political asylum in the United States, which under the circumstances was a good idea, after all Bromwich reported that 90% of asylum applications filed annually receive to terrorism checks or criminal background checks before being permitted to American soil.
A scholar by the name of Daniel Sutherland published an article in 1996 regarding criminal acts led by illegal immigrants every year entitled, “Abolish the INS: How Federal Bureaucracy Dooms Immigration Reform.” Sutherland noted that problems with illegal immigration are getting worse every year. Ins is the acronym for US Immigration and Naturalization Services. This institute needs serious reform. Every year, it practically refuses to deport people. Of the several million illegal immigrants currently residing in the United States approximately 200,000 are convicted of criminal acts. Only, out of those 200,000, the INS deports a mere 40,000. That is 200,000 crimes that could have easily been terrorist attacks.
I think that’s enough for now, I have more to type, but ill put it in the next entry, I think it will be how the Clinton-Gore Administration repeatedly ignored the immigration problem, which could have stopped many known terrorists in the United States. Your comments are welcome.
