Why can't they shut up and let us listen? Why do they have to keep yammering on about the same old stuff? Just STFU already!
Also, can you tell how many Popes are NOT buried under St. Pete's? Sure, I knew you could. ALL POPES ARE BUIRED IN ROME. Maybe if the newsies would just ask a simple, smart question and then let the experts answer it, this wouldn't be so grating.

Why does FOX have to yak over the ceremonies in Rome? Because there aren't enough vanities on FreeRepublic so FOX hoped it would incite you to create another one?

It's mandated due to an executive decision that self-promotion takes precedence over reporting the news.
(That's my best guess, anyway.)

TCM has a classic comedy silent film festival all day! Charley Chase, Fatty Arbuckle, Harold Lloyd! No talking, guarenteed!

I actually think CNN has had much better coverage (except for C. Amanpour). Aaron Brown has been very respectful and they seem to do a really great job of unnecessary commentary.

I think they get paid by the word.
No blah-blah, no paycheck.

Fox has quit yakking. They must have gotten a lot of e-mails.
To: blu
Fox is horrible at live coverage and they never shut up. CNN does a decent job, but if you have access to EWTN, you'll see and hear everything just fine.

After the name of the saint, what are they saying?

There I go, using up that elusive bandwidth again. (Jeesh! is there like a limit on vanities? Don't you cut some slack if a person at least knows it's a vanity and tells you up front?)

Or maybe they got a very well-worded, polite request on their phone line? Honest, I didn't yell, and I didn't swear:)

Just wait until we start getting all the numbers. each network will add millions to the others count. None of them will be accurate however.

CNN has been the rule of the house since Friday when I couldn't stand the loud, brash and almost ghoulish coverage on Fox.

One thing I can say in Fox's credit is their choice of hosts for their Saturday morning Fox & Friends show. Julian and Juliet were replaced with Steve Doosey and E.D. Hill for the coverage of the Pope's death. I think they've been reading some our emails.
