Sean Hannity Promotes Church of Scientology Front Group

Three times in the last two weeks Sean Hannity has featured Kelly Preston as the spokesperson for fightforkids.com This group is funded by The Citizens Commission on Human Rights International (CCHRI) which in turn is itself funded by the Church of Scientology. Fightforkids.com promotes the anti-psychiatric position that Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is non-existent and that psychiatrists are “hooking kids on drugs” at the behest of drug companies. This conspiracy theory mentality is a long time tenet of the Church of Scientology which believes that they alone have the answers to mental illness.

Here is the link to Fightforkids.com as it appears on Sean Hannity’s website: http://www.hannity.com/index/news-app/story.59/menu./sec./home.

Here is a link from Fightforkids.com that establishes the link to the Church of Scientology: http://www.fightforkids.com/press/030520.htm Read the last paragraph for the connection with the C of S.

Sean Hannity is either ignorant of this connection between Fightforkids.com and the Church of Scientology or he does not care. Just thought everyone would like to know.

The CoS is occasionally right about some things. This is one of them. If there's a legitimate Scn. angle to this story, it's the fact that the CoS recruits and pampers its celebrities for the expressed purpose of getting media access and credibility for their various agendas. The Church even has a word for it: Opinion Leaders. Mobilizing their "OLs" is a long standing policy in their organization.

The Church of Scientology advocates (among other bizzare things) the total elimination of biochemicals from human use including substances as basic as aspirin. It only gets more wierd from that point.

They are currenty using the over-prescription of ADHD meds to promote the rest of their nutty beliefs.

Conservatives need to stay far, far away from Scientologists. Do some objective research into the C of S.

I'm sure there are legitimate concerns about drugging kids that can be raised without the help of the scienos. They are interested in eliminating the use of drugs only insofar as it fits with their broader agenda of eliminating the medical practice of psychiatry. Psychiatrists are the main competition for ScientologyTM. Opposing the over-prescription of drugs like Ritalin or Prozac is the camel's nose in the tent.

Well, I don't know about at the behest of drug companies but they are getting kids hooked on needless drugs. ADD or ADHD or whatever it's being called these days doesn't exist. At least not in the numbers that are reported or are receiving drugs.

Since Greta Van Sustern and her husband are higher-ups in the Scientology cult, I am sure Hannity knows.

Writing science fiction for about a penny a word is no way to make a living. If you really want to make a million, the quickest way is to start your own religion.

~ L. Ron Hubbard

Hubbard's "religion" was founded on the principle of tax fraud.
Cult followers have been hijacking virtually every thread posted on this forum regarding tax reform for years.

...the movement for consumption-based taxation has been hijacked by a group of extremists whose principal interest is abolishing the Internal Revenue Service.21 They believe that if virtually all federal taxes are abolished and replaced with a retail sales tax like those in the states, then the states can simply collect the federal government's revenue for it, thereby allowing for abolition of the IRS...

21 The Church of Scientology originated this legislation as part of a campaign against the IRS because it refused for many years to allow gifts to the church to be deducted as legitimate charitable contributions, on the grounds that it was not a true church. The IRS eventually relented. See Davis (1997) and Starobin (1995) for discussions of the Church of Scientology's role in the sales tax campaign.
