In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
glower \GLOW-er ("OW" as in "cow")\ verb
to look or stare with sullen annoyance or anger

Mariah crossed her arms and glowered at Jeff, making it perfectly clear that she'd had enough of his teasing.

Do words of uncertain origin make you scowl? If so, "glower" may put a frown on your face, because only part of its history can be validated. The well-established part of its story leads us to Scotland, where "glower" (or "glowren," to use the older Scottish form of the word) has been used since the late Middle Ages. Originally, the word meant simply "to look intently" or "to stare in amazement," but by the late 1700s, glowering stares were being associated with anger instead of astonishment. Beyond that, however, the history of the word is murky. The most we can say is that "glower" is a distant relative of Middle Low German "gluren," which means "to be overcast," and of Middle Dutch "gloeren," meaning "to leer."

BWWAAAAHAHAHAAA... Nah, she wasn't a pal like Silly was (also, I didn't know what Silly had done to be banned, and the whole thing was a lark anyway). Also, JimRob actually instructed me at the end of that not to sign up with multiple identities anymore.
Her idea of foreplay is to tell her husband "bite my arse" and when he is too busy getting ready to go fishing to comply, she gets pissed off and starts throwing broken glass at him. She sounds like a real prize.

btw, xshub is going to be spending the night in Dallas night, he couldn't get a flight to Austin from Chicago, so he has to settle for getting as far as dallas and flying out first thing to austin.

Sorry for not getting back with replies for your very nice comments about my long rant in yesterday's word for the day. (mrsgwmoore and gwmooredaughter (FR=trinity1) especially liked xs' comments about my volunteering for Vietnam LOL...They were ROTFL about it, making appropriate comments, and I was totally overwhelmed, being the sole male present with nobody to help defend my position . I had written a whole post about it, then went to look for a pic to post, and the whole thing disappeared.
Anyhow, since the weather is bad, and the CStainlesssteel is causing some discomfort, I will postpone my answer until tomorrow.... I do have an answer, and it is just as funny as xs' comment...suffice it to say that I was being groomed for "Lifer" status at the time, and the rest seemed, well, kind of a neat thing to do LOL..Today, there are any number of reality shows featuring non-thinkers like gwmoore, they even have special sporting events (X-Games) for the likes of us [huge evil grin]....

the cookies are all gone, I just picked up the empty container with a few crumbs left in the bottom.........strange site, all kinds of newbies getting their newbie training tonight. good thing I wasn't commando or nothing.
