SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – An author is giving nincompoops the attention they so richly deserve.
Bob Fenster has created The Duh Awards and cataloged them in a book of the same name to humble humans who have done stupid things throughout history.
One of Fenster’s favorites is the “Should Have Told Your Wife Contest.” That award went to a man who hid his expensive gun collection in the oven while on vacation but didn’t tell his wife.
She found out though when she turned the oven on and the guns started firing at her.
The winner of the “Bossy Boss Award” goes to a TV station manager in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who in 1993 staged a hold-up to see how employees would react.
Despite giving out hundreds of awards in his book, Fenster says he hasn’t given out an award to President George W. Bush yet, because he says Dubya still has four more years worth of reasons to earn a “Duh.”
Where I work I can't keep my work in my work area because it is not secure even though my work area has card access only and the "secure" storage area is a shelf in an area without a lock on the door.
So her oven heated up, and she heard gunfire. Did she call the police, I wonder? Heheheh!
