Actually, by itself, I don't see this as zottable. Liberty should be prized before security. The question is: Is it liberty, or is it license?? I have no liberty, nor should I have, to pick your pocket, rape your wife, burn down your house, or father numberless children without providing for their support. I should have no liberty to live my entire life at the public trough. I should have no liberty to suppress the liberties of others because what they say offends me. If their behavior harms me, that's different.

And, as another poster said, you can't have liberty without security. But what kind of security? It should be to be secure in your person and property from some of the aforementioned "liberties". But, again, it shouldn't be the security of working without eating. Even God is against that. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 - For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

So why exactly was this fellow zotted? Did I miss something?

Themods can see what IP address a person is posting from. If someone posts some hate screed, gets banned and then comes back under a different name, the mods can see that the IP address matches. That's why some folks get zotted about 30 seconds after they post, the mods can tell that someone is busy in his Mom's basement again...
