We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Today is Veterans Day, a National holiday to recognize those who serve, and those who have served, this Nation's highest calling, to protect our freedom and our people from the others in the world that would do us harm.
The Federal Government is closed, the Post Office doesn't deliver, state government workers have the day off.
But Fairfax county schools in Virginia apparently think veterans are no big deal--schools are not only open, the holiday isn't even acknowledged.
Sad.For AMERICA - The Right Way,I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Oldie but goodie:
The Window War, how it MIGHT be done...
Quote from article:
"Remember one thing: Adolf Hitler was elected, and the Nazis passed laws justifying every horrible act they later committed. In such a country, law-breaking is not a crime but a virtue."

One last quote on Veterans' Day:
"It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived."
--General George S. Patton, Jr.

The left "feels" that they have an absolute monopoly on the "absolute truth", don'tcha know? LOL! And we independent-minded peons don't DARE question their superiority or they will take their toys and go home in a complete snit, ala Kennedy, sKerry, or the sHrill (and screeching) one.
How long before the leftists realize that they belong to a pathetic caricature of a political party enslaved to tired old statisms? Standing and pointing your finger and yelling "Liar, liar, pants on fire" only works with those who are incapable of analysis or reason.

I'll be here. I've had a great Veterans Day. I didn't have to work. I lazed around like a layabout, got a haircut (actually, all of them), my eyebrows look less like mating tarantulas, I had Sonic(tm) for my evening meal... chili dog w/ onions, and a strawberry malted...
Life is very good.

Everyone here is fine. JT is running into a little bit of a hassle getting re-established in a routine, getting back in school, getting a job, but all that will work itself out.
Hubby just fixed a hole in the floor. It's been there for years, Mom and Dad just covered it up and ordered no one to use the sliding door. But, it needed to be fixed. His next project will be taking down a couple of dead trees with JT.
The youngest and I have been doing volunteer work out at a stable. and LionsDaughter is busy in college.

John, I read with interest your thoughts on the playing of TAPS. Just recently I attended a service which used the special bugle with the recording. It was a very good rendition and the fact that it wasn't "live" did not detract or dishonor. Being a musician I do prefer a live performance, but the way it was done wasn't an insult either.
When the honor guard saluted the casket, they made a fist as the hand was lowered. Is that a particular trait of the Navy or of the honor guard?

The benedryl (which I've been using to keep from clawing and scratching my poison ivy) is kicking in. I'm off to bed.

Hi! How are you over there by MP? As to that quote, it is most fitting--for now--and forever.

I am absolutely STUNNED that FNC has bought into this Global Warming drivel.
I was just forced to turn Greta off. That Kennedy kid is just slimey.
To: DollyCali
It's sweet! But I shall post no comment in another month that can be repeated in polite company. Need I say I hate cold weather? It seems the older I get, the colder it gets. Where I work, it is open to the elements, to a point, a loading dock where there are no curtains keeping the wind out. When it gets frigid, my pen freezes up and refuses to dispense ink... How fun is that? [
And my hands hurt the most... Even with two pair of gloves on!]

I swore after college when I left Ohio to live in NC, Texas & Fla that I would NEVER return to Ohio to live.
Object of this lesson?
Never swear

Oh yes, just the other morning, the Fox & Friends crew admited that they had to abide by the new enviro-rules that E.D. Hill had put down for the set. There will be no HAIRSPRAY for the F & F show!
To: Iowa Granny
What's with the global warming thing on FOX, please?
Greta? [the dog-faced woman... never mind!] PTUI! Same for Horrendo Revolver, what ARE they doing here on our FNC?
