I went through that heavy metal phase in the 1980's as a high school kid. It was my way of rebelling against the world. LOL!

The Rolling Stones "Wild Horses" is one my favorite songs in general. It's just one of those songs that's hard to explain to others why you like it so much :)

One of the good things about preset digital tuners and remote control.

Actually all of these "power ballads" were just written by guys to get into women's pants.

Don's a good singer, but his talent as a singer is not as abundant as George's talent as a guitarist. Don's got the typical "lead singer" disease that makes the lead singer turn into an a$$hole.

Yep! Just now I headed over to limewire and (ahem...) *did not* illegally download (wink, wink) some old Dokken songs that I probably hadn't heard in 15 years. The first thing I realized was that Don's voice did sound weak! Lynch's guitar playing still blew me away.

Winger had more talent than a lot of them did. Just got a bad rap during the "death to hair bands" days of the 90s...

A few years ago, around 1999, a friend of mine, who was 27 was dating a girl that had JUST turned 18. They were coming over to my house to play some cards that evening and my roommate and I just as they were walking up to the door...

...we started cranking "Seventeen" by Winger! The look our buddy gave us when he walked in was priceless!!

I saw KISS down in Huntsville, AL in the late 80s with Winger and Slaughter. My ears were ringing for a week. ; )

LOL!! I saw that same bill in Billings, Montana! :)

It was the second and last time KISS has been in Montana.

All I remember is that song was in Working Girl. And Melaine Griffith was smokin back then.

"Motley Crue's "Without You" also should have made the list."

Oh man, that song's attached to every breakup I had in high school. Thanks a bunch. ;)

Back then I was more openly into Metallica and stuff. I didn't admit publicly I liked the "softer" metal, except for Dokken, seemed it was OK for guys to like Dokken, and sometimes you could get away with liking Motley Crue, but admit you like Poison, and you're a$$ was gonna get kicked...

I'm 28...but was an early bloomer musically. I started liking Ratt and Dokken, and then soon Metallica, when I was EIGHT years old!!

My parents just LOVED that...

Saw Poison in 1988

I've seen them twice and lived to talk about.

They put on really fun concerts that's for sure.
