I used to have one of those Timex Sinclares, it booted up in Basic, just a few K of memory. Still was able to do an FFT on it, really cool. But now we have another promising technology to make computers calculate using other obscure substances or methods, what’s next chips from potatoes?

Nanoscale magnets. My mother-in-law would just tape them to her body to combat her arthritis.
