"Pit Bulls and Rottweillers are big, aggressive and DO NOT let go when they attack"
"I guess breeding for wolf hunts tend to get the "sissy" out of the breed. Pit Bulls are no different, they were bred for a reason....and child care wasn't one of them.'
i think those two statements summarize the issues very well.
it is also very hard to regulate the interactions of dogs and children when they live in the same house.
This is just nuts!! Bad people raise bad dogs. Crotch grabbers, Tattoed tweakers and other assorted bottom feeders beat, starve, taunt, short leash and isolate these animals. They take their evil and infect the dog with it. If you want to solve the problem exterminate the moron owners not the dogs.
Several pieces, if the child is small enough and the dog has time to tear at the corpse.
I don't want a dog for protection anymore, just one that will tell me if someone is around that shouldn't be. I have a 38 special that should adequately protect both of us.

Thanks for a moment of sanity... see post 42
This is the correct attitude sir/ma am. If you can't control the animal, and I don't mean beat it with chains....I mean by good training and perhaps a obedience school, then by all means send the dog to someone that can.
Most people can't handle a Scottie or Chihuahua, let alone a Pit Bull or German Shepard. At least you have the intelligence and good sense to know your limits......
That's what happened with the Pit Bull biting the tires. He was shot several times and didn't release his jaws from the tire until he died. Some breeders claim that Pit Bulls are impervious to pain.
Robinson then spit on the reporter as a cameraman taped the incident, and she responded, "that's why."
Can't tell who's worse the dog or owner. Sounds like they're both ready to blow at all times.
Warm fuzzies ping.
YES! PITBULLS ARE THE WALKING INCARNET OF CEREBUS, FEAR THEM! NO HUMAN HAS EVER MASTERED THEIR EVIL!!!
Definately an understatement. Actually, at the time the shepherd was given to me, I had just gotten out of the service. I had $900 in my pocket, no job, and a new wife. The dog was the most beautiful German Shepherd I had ever seen, even to this day. The way this young dog carried himself was extraordinary and this was the primary reason for his intimidating appearance. He did very well after my sister took him back but I'm not sure if the dog was ever used by the State Police. I don't think so. Like me, my sister is now much older now. Both of us know our limitations. She raises small dogs and I like them as well.

I'm sorry, I thought you were being sarcastic.
WHOA..........that's a broadbrush you are screaming with there.
Back in the 70s and 80s many of my friends in Florida bred and raised pit bulls, they were household pets and hunting dogs. they were wonderful animals.
The fact that POS's like this have done their best to destroy the breed with inbreeding and mishandling is no cause to condemn everyone that owns one of these dogs.
