A 16-year-old boy at Overland High School doesn't want to hear what he calls his teacher's left-wing political rants.
Sean Allen frequently recorded his teachers to back up his notes. Allen recorded Jay Bennish, his 10th grade World Geography teacher, making comments about President Bush's State of the Union Address.
Allen's parent claims the comments made in the recording are biased and inappropriate for a geography class.
The Cherry Creek School District is conducting a thorough investigation of the complaint from the Overland High School parent and student concerning comments.
The school district says at first glance it does appear the teacher acted inappropriately at the very least.
A spokesperson for the Cherry Creek School District said they have placed Bennish on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. This is not a disciplinary action; the school district wants to remove him while they sort through the rest of the investigation.
The Cherry Creek School District expects to finish the investigation by the end of the week.

If more students recorded their teacher's left wing rants in the classroom a big dent could be made in liberal's academic propaganda.
Academic liberals are basically cowards, and if they think that their actions in a classroom will be exposed to public viewing they'll think twice before opening their mouths on political subjects.

The solution is complete separation of SCHOOL and state.
Government schools are not reformable.

What a miserable SOB. His "theories" are so off the wall that he can't convince adults.... He has to try to brainwash students who are forced to sit through his tirades.
If I was this guy I think I'd just blow my brains out rather than suffer being an American citizen one more miserable day.
You hit the nail right on the head! When I was in college, the prof. hated me because I loved calling him on his leftist rants. He admited that he hated having older students because they were 'closed minded' (i. e. not brainwashable)

How could kids stand to listen to this wacko all day long? He sounds like a crazed preacher in a church in Masshole.
This has to be to our advantage in the future. These kids are going to hate leftists if they have to listen to people like this screech and rant all day long.
I think it's GREAT students are beginning to tape their nutball teachers.
