We love the South Beach Diet. It really works, lowers your cholesterol too, and it makes sense. It's hard at first and then you get used to it. A heart doctor wrote it, the intro is very interesting -- his observations with his own patients, etc.

Try malted milkshakes. Until I turned 42, I was underweight but I've been told malted milkshakes are great for putting on weight. They're given to cancer patients who have lost a great deal of weight.
When my son was looking to put on some weight, he just used the powdered slim-fast but made it with whole milk and some ice cream. That way, it at least had some nutrients in it...
