I am all for biometrics being a part of the ID.
When reliable ID is established there is no need to go any further with it. Not when the debate is about reliable ID and its application towards holding people accountable under the rule of law.

So, if I understand your reply correctly, you do have a point in which you would oppose further improvement in the identification process by the government and/or law enforcement?

When reliable ID is established there is no need to go any further with it.It's is impossible to have a reliable ID. Try to come up with an idea for one.
However, if people believe that an ID is reliable, then it becomes much more profitable to produce fakes and copies.
Of course, having such ID's will make it much easier for reporters, divorce lawyers, and private eyes to check up on their subjects.
