My gawd, this is so stupid, it makes my head hurt. Hitler was pure evil looking for justification. The evil came first and foremost. Blaming evolution for the Holocaust is the opposite of the Twinkie defense.

I kind of agree with you, however, if you believe we are simply animals, simply the product of random mutations, it is not a far leap to believe that we might purge our species of undesirable genes, either by outright killing those we deem unsuitable, or making sure they cannot procreate.

Ideas have consequences. Hitler's ideas were based on a superior race, and Evolution was certainly a factor in that.

Obviously the mass killing of Jews in Europe during the Middle Ages (e.g. the 1st Crusade, etc.) The expulsion from England, Spain & elsewhere was inspired by evolution.
(Also don't forget the fact that Jews were annoying, inconvenient "dhimma" in Muslim countries.(They did on occasion have their uses!) I am sure this was all due to evolution also ! But wait the persecutors were reading secret hidden documents about evolution, "The DarWini Code". Also it had to exist in Roman times why else would the Romans depopulate the area of Judea call it Palestine, rename Jerusalem, and forbid Jews on pain of death to live there. Clearly all that time Charles Darwin spent on the Beagle was in his cabin translating the ancient family texts into English so he could undermine the Christian world and thus do the work of the devil.

Fact is Hitler was attempting to evolve a super race of Aryans through genetic evolution. He believed in Darwin and believed that man was still evolving. That is why he had to rid Germany of the "weeds" or Jews, Slavs and Gypsies as well as the handicapped for fear of diluting the race.

Funny how Darwin is going the way of the Dinosaur?
