Pedophiles never give up their child porn stash, but I would imagine that his stash is with his laptop (on it or burn on cd) or it is stored electronically on some server on the web.

The temperature of a room can make timing a death a a less than perfect thing. Also, keep in mind...this is a HUGE house and iirc, their bedroom was a long ways from the other bedrooms. They could have been up at 10 and not heard a thing.

In addition, there would have been a huge mess where the accident happened that would be impossible to not detect.

Finally, I do not believe that after the scrutiny that the Ramsey's had (including, I think, going before a grand jury which are basically a prosecutors playground) there is virtually no way they could have done this.

Again...real life is just not that tidy and there is no such thing as a perfect murders—just "unconnected" murders. Remember, stranger murders are often harder to solve than those where there are connections.

Some big holes in your scenario :

Autopsy and other reports all say the would to the head was a massive blow and gash (yes this could be caused by a bat) HOWEVER:

There is no blodd spattering or other forensic evidence of a savge blow/beating done in Jonbenet's room.

The autopsy said the blow to the head happened at or near death (IE her heart was not pumping blood) and that it did not bleed profusely. A blow with a bat to a live person would have caused massive bleeding, causing a large amount of blood and splattering in the room. A closed wound would have caused a massive hematoma at the impact point as the heart would have been sending blood to the injured area until it stopped.

There is no hematoma at the blow area per the autoopsy report, no large amount of blood in her room, no splattering in her room, no blood trail from the room to the basement, no pooling at her body --- ergo the blow did not come elsewhere in the house, at least not while she was still alive.

Well, that's a surprise to me. I'm no expert but the autopsy report (which is online and you can google it) specifically states that the skull was split wide open from front to back along the top right side. The coroner also stated that it was the skull injury that caused the death, not the ligature. He even goes on to say that the ligature was applied 10 - 45 minutes AFTER the head injury was sustained.

So, I don't know what you've heard but that's what the autopsy report said.

JonBenet was a public figure and as such her existence known to many with criminal and violent intentions.

The pig just wanted out of a foreign prison and into our cushy prisons...and to where he figured he'd have his member lopped off for free.

Good point. I'm not sure why the autopsy report seems to imply (at least to me) that the head injury was first. There was little or no blood found anywhere in the home!

She did have a cracked skull.

The blow occurred very close to the time of death, but did not cause death, she was strangled. Like someone was strangling and beating her at the same time.

Yes. He didn't match the DNA on Jon Benet. The theory of the investigators is that he was 1/2 of a team that kidnapped Jon Benet. He had mentioned to friends, shortly before the kidnapping, that he had cooked up a scheme that would soon net him "about $50,000". Apparently the other party to the scheme was the one who raped Jon Benet...and he shot Helgoth to keep him quiet. Helgoth's death was investigated as a suicide by the bumblers at Boulder PD, but it obviously was a murder....Helgoth was right-handed, but he was shot into the left side of his torso, and a pillow was used to muffle the sound of the shot. Who commits suicide using a pillow to muffle the shot? And, the crime scene photo shows the pistol laying on the right side of Helgoth, who was reclining on a bed or futon. Helgoth owned several stun guns, and a stun gun was used to immobilize Jon Benet. Also, he had said to friends of his, "I wonder what it would feel like to crush a human skull?" Jon Benet's skull was fractured by a blow to the head. He was a violent man who killed kittens for fun, by breaking their necks.

Except he was not in a foriegn prison -- he was a second grade teacher living in an apartment in Bankok. He was arrested on the request of American authorities so he could be brought back to the states.

I thought about the temperature and putrefaction. It was something like 10 deg F outside. So, if she was in the basement all night it would only DELAY the putrefaction even longer, pushing her death even earlier. Unless someone can explain the rigor and putrefaction evidence (all based on the temp and body weight) I can't see how she died after 11 p.m.

But you may be right, there is so much disinformation in this case it's hard to tell anything for sure.

Read it again, please. The first page summary states cause of death as asphyxiation from strangulation. Just above the ME's signature.

Well, that's not quite how I read it but maybe I'm not reading it right. It doesn't seem to make a determination of WHICH was THE cause, only that both were? Here's the quote:

"Cause of death of this six year old female is asphyxia by strangulation associated with craniocerebral trauma".

I see your point but the sentence doesn't seem definitive as to what THE cause was.

flash back...

http://www.longmontfyi.com/ramsey/storyDetail03.asp?ID=26

Carnes notes in her ruling that one man named in the Ramseys’ book, Michael Helgoth, committed suicide two months after the murder and one day after District Attorney Alex Hunter announced they were narrowing the search for JonBenet’s killer.

A stun gun was found near Mr. Helgoth’s body, as well as “HI-TEC” boots. Evidence in the case suggests that JonBenet’s killer used a stun gun on her. Unidentified shoeprints from HI-TEC boots also were found in the Ramseys’ basement.

It reads to me like he's saying that BOTH were the cause without distinguishing precedence of one over the other.

Helgoth mayhave been part of it -- very plausible scenario on your part.

However, he also could have committed suicide just as you describe it. Follow:
Hold a pillow to your left side/Chest, Reach across with your right hand as if holding a gun, simulate a shot.
Your right hand is not braced, as such when the gun is fired the bullet will enter right where you aim (Peircing your heart or vital organs - either way you have killed yourself successfully) -- now the recoil of the gun is unimpeded as your right hand/arm is not braced as it would on a normal shot -- The gun will recoil straight at the angle you are holding it, with your right hand across your body it will fly back and right, you have just shot yourself in the chest, your body will go straight back, you will open your grip from the shock to your body
At this point physics take over. You right arm will land either across your abdomen or fly to the right side of your body, the gun which is now heading back and to your right and no longer held will land at your RIGHT SIDE most likely between your shoulder and hip.

I think what everyone is trying to say here...albeit gently...is that your theory doesn't wash with even the known facts. Most of us aren't LE, but simply people who try to pay attention to how things really work and look at primary source material as closely as possible.

Welcome to Free Republic, btw. Your first post certainly generated a lot of response! Hang in there. I've learned a lot from many great researchers and careful thinkers on this site. It can be rough sometimes, but the rewards are great.

You are right about facts "being hard to tell." I figure that the most important thing I can do is just always remember that the media is really, really screwed up and usually wrong. Start from there and you keep yourself out of trouble. : D.

"....Unidentified shoeprints from HI-TEC boots also were found in the Ramseys’ basement...."

Not only that, but a sort of red algae was growing on the floor of the cellar where Jon Benet's body was found, and a similar red substance was found in the treads of Helgoth's boot!! And the Boulder PD doesn't have any interest in Helgoth.
