As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
Repent, sinners, for the end of the world is at hand.
Yes, according to a UN report about to be published, the human race has a total of ten years to get its act together to save the planet, or global warming will doom us all.
Billions, yes, billions--like half the planet (three billions of souls) will go "waterless". Yeah, right. And the other half will see the Sun rise in the West. Wouldn't one think that over the oh so many years that if some area went "waterless" (even the Sonoran Desert--dryest place in North America--isn't "waterless", though an average rainfall of 0.01"/year gets it pretty close), wouldn't the folks, well, move?
But, heck, don't let logic get in the way of a good calamity. After all, diplomonkeys need a good crisis--it justifies their existence.
And nothing on the planet needs more justification for its existance than the United Nations--otherwise abbreviated, quite correctly, as UN. The UNsolvers, those who simply cannot fix anything. Name one item of note the UN has actually fixed (before one says "Korea"--remember that peninsula is still in a legal state of war, a state that has continued for over 55 years).
The report from the UN will indicate coastal flooding over the next 100 years will hit 7 million homes. Large number, but that's worldwide, over the next 100 years. Heck, Fairfax county would probably build 7 million new homes next week.
But wait, they will fix the climate. The UN eko-wacko agency is pressuring the new Secretary-General to call an "emergency climate summit." The screams are coupled with dire statements such as "climate change is one of the most important issues that the international community must address before 2012." Funny how these folks always seem to pick a year coinciding with a United States Presidential election.
Well, maybe not so funny. Consider the United States House of Representatives. It now has a planetary hot air committee--to go along, one would suppose, with their legislative hot air committees. Problem is, they actually have the ability to write laws--and laws are, essentially, abridgements of a person's freedom (though some we do accept for the benefit of society--murder, robbery, etc., so don't go there with counter-arguments).
Then there's the spectre of a DemoncRAT Presidency. Seems the UN is already playing to that, giving the leftists a campaign platform. Talk about manipulating the internal affairs of America.
It is time to abbrogate the San Francisco Agreement. Time to get away from those nutcases and protect what Americans have worked hard to produce. Let the rest of the world starve to death freezing in the dark.
But we also need to ensure the White House is on board--that requires our work for November 2008. The battle lines are being drawn.
Save the planet--get the United States out of the UNnecessary organization.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
LET'S ROLL!!!
Hi!
Howdy!
Howdy!
One pingy-dingy, two pingy-dingies...
Howdy, howdy to you, too!
Good morning.
Good morning, Chair. I could use some global warming here...it is 10 degrees outside, and we are to go below zero over the weekend.
Agreed, too bad it won't happen.
Good morning everybody. Mr. Prairie and I have been spending time rehearsing with our friends for a show we are performing this weekend. It's a fund-raiser and so far they've sold over 200 tickets. This year we're doing it gratis, next year if they want us back, it'll cost them.
It's been a chilly and rainy January in S. Texas too, much more than normal. Golfing, shuffleboarding and other outdoor activities have suffered.
I keep remembering how it was 90 degrees on March 12th last year though, and think that things are going to be warming up here soon.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!
And here I thought it was cold this morning while out running at 40 degrees!!!
Thanks for the temperature prespective!! :-)
Have a great day and try to keep warm!
What show are you doing?

Good morning to everyone, but I have to share this with you two...
I was sent home Monday from work, because I have a couple of medical appointments. My boss told me not to report back until after my appt. this afternoon, meaning tomorrow morning. She was worried because I was a bit stressed out over today's appointment, so she told me to stay home. She is a very sweet lady...
Now I want to fulfill a lifelong ambition.
I'm going to learn German, because I want to call that store and cuss'em out like that German fighter pilot in "The Longest Day"!
They have pulled some of the most idiotic moves since Friday it stuns the head, and I'm being called in, daily, to fix them! Marple, where are you when I need you? Agh!!!
Good morning.
The weathermen can't tell me with any accuracy whether it's going to rain tomorrow so I have no reason to believe them when they try and tell me what's going to happen in 10 years.
Yesterday, some meteorologists and scientists accused the WH of try to cover up global warming reports. And I've seen a new book that is being used in kindergarden to teach kids the "facts" about global warming.
Mornin'! I was up your way last week-end to see the kids and grand-kiddies. They live on the west side(Avon). I got a little surprise. I drove up there on Sat. morning and when we got up Sunday there was 5 inches of snow on the ground. Down here in Music City it's 11 degrees and will get all the way up to a blistering 30.
Music entertainment. Mostly bluegrass, some gospel.
Fabulous links, Molly, most especially the global warming panic one! Thanks for finding the BEST stuff!
Exposing them to such unproven "facts" is not age appropriate.
Although the temperature is not as low here (20s) as some of you are having, it is posing a problem for me inside my house.
You see, my heat pump is on the blink again....and rather than spend any more $$$$ in a seemingly bottomless hole for repairs on this one, I bought a new one yesterday. The forecast of snow and ice for tomorrow, however, means that it can't be installed until Friday afternoon or Saturday. Thank goodness, I have gas logs and Ugg boots to keep reasonably warm until then.
CM, it's a shame you need a new heat pump, but you must have a reliable heat source. Thank goodness for your logs. Try to stay warm.
I'm glad you bought a new one but sure wish they could install it ASAP. Thank goodness for gas logs.
There's another new book that is being introduced in schools called The Two Kings; they have a family. I can't remember what year the book is introduced but do remember it was at a young age.
