Judge Larry Seidlin Is One Step Closer To Making A Mockery Of The Legal Profession

— Mon, Apr 2, 2007 —

Say, remember Larry Seidlin, the zany, highly emotional and occasionally sexist Florida circuit judge who theatrically (and through intermittent tears) awarded custody of Anna Nicole Smith's body to her infant daughter, Dannielynn?

Well, looks like he's one step closer to doing what he does best: delivering bizarre, tear-streaked verdicts that demonstrate a complete and utter lack of jurisprudence, legal savvy or coherent thought...all in the name of good television.

Seidlin, who was reportedly "inundated with at least 200 phone inquiries from TV recruiters" (including CBS) is now said to be squeezing in a barrage of production meetings on the west coast.

The objective?

To become the next generation's Judge Wapner (except with more psychotic rants!) by signing with whichever network will best compensate him for what legal experts have denounced as either "stream-of consciousness judgeship...or a carefully orchestrated nervous breakdown."

And something tells us a multi-year contract with one of the top networks may be just what Larry "Waterworks" Seidlin needs to turn that frown upside down.

I think Howard was defeated by Seidlin in court when he said the relationship was "not exclusive" and "Anna wanted to get married, not me".

The birth certificate says she was a widow. That tells me it was filled out BEFORE the phoney marriage.

By the way, has anyone EVER noticed a wedding ring on Howard??? Ever???

Moe would know. He was right there. And he would know what kind of shape she was in. And probably....a lot more.

Moe's ranting that she really loved Howard was just a reaction to what I perceived as a very scarey situation that Moe and Taz had gotten involved in by a very devious man.

Maybe that's just what people need...Judges that can get people like Stern to wiggle and drink from empty water glasses. Judge Judy calls people a liar all the time.

Seidlin was more generous: He was just thinking it and saying: "Tell me another one".

I want to address some of the things that Cindy Adams is spewing...she's another one of these gossip idiots who are trying to jump in with no idea of what is going on.

1. Larry had a career before Anna. He was a reporter and a photographer. He actually could and can afford to buy his own shoes.
2. He didn't just recently pop up. Even before Anna admitted being pregnant he was saying the child was his. I think with Anna's drug use he from the start wanted full custody and as for her saying he wanted money. He probably did ..it's called Child Support!!
3. I'm assuming with her mentioning Carson Kressley and George Michael she's insinuating the gay rumors are true. I don't care if anything he's bisexual and we are constantly beat over the head why we must accept this. So because some people don't like Larry all of a sudden this is a deficent..like Mark Foley..oh what else can be expected of NY liberal elites.
4. Duh ..we're dealing with HKS. Of course there's going to be problems and of course he's lawyer shopping. He dumped Opri his california atty and he needs another one. According to the info posted this firm also deals with Family Law.
5. Well let's see one "lover" kept her doped up, relied on her for everything, separated her from everyone she knew an d let her lay in a room full of fecal matter and vomit and most importantly probably never even had sex with her. The other wanted her to take responsibility and wouldn't roll over when she wanted. Hmmmm..yeah ..may the ONLY lover win....and that's Larry...bisexual or straight....

Anna Nicole Smith's Companion Howard K. Stern Appealing Paternity Test - Fox News

NASSAU, Bahamas — Anna Nicole Smith's companion Howard K. Stern is in a Bahamas courtroom Monday morning, where he is appealing the court-ordered DNA tests of Smith's daughter meant to determine her paternity.

Depending on the outcome of the Court of Appeal hearing, results could be revealed Tuesday of the DNA swabs taken of Smith's almost 7-month-old daughter, Dannielynn, and Smith's ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead. Birkhead says he is Dannielynn's father; Stern's name is on Dannielynn's birth certificate and he has resided with her in the Bahamas since her birth.

Meanwhile, an inquest into the death of Smith's 20-year-old son was put on hold Thursday pending a legal challenge filed by Stern.

A judge in the Bahamian Coroner's Court had picked a seven-member jury and was preparing to call witnesses when Stern's lawyers persuaded him to halt the proceedings until the island's Supreme Court could rule on a motion to submit a questionnaire to potential jurors to gauge any bias.

Stern attorney Wayne Munroe argued it would be "reckless" to continue the inquest before the Supreme Court had ruled on the issue.
