Does anyone know if Virgie was trying to get custody of DL BEFORE Anna died....and could this be the reason for at least some of the hatred and snarling in the “bring it on, mommy” video? Seems to me I read something that at least speculated that Virgie was so concerned after Daniel’s death that she wanted to protect DL and O’Quinn was hired back then to try and get DL out of the drug infested HKS situation?
Anyone?

I think you’re right. However I think it’s too late ala the Pod People scenario. I think Howie’s already attached himself and will go where LB goes as the “whatever” that he’s made himself to the “new LB.”

Well, even if Virgie were NOT trying, a paranoid KE and HKS could have speculated that anyone in law enforcement would know how to invoke or trigger CPS investigations. I mean the paramoia and vilifying could have preceeded any action on VA’s part just b/c HKS, ANS and KE had appropriate guilt and paranoia about what they knew they were doing with narcotics.
I don’t know. Seems like I read somewhere that she did but not sure.
There are a couple of places on the internet that advertise rapid detox from methadone - it involves complete sedation and in patient care - I think this is what they were trying but not in a hospital.
Yep that could be. And it might have worked. But once again...why NOT in a hospital where that kind of conscious sedation or semi-anesthesia could be properly monitored. That’s the big question and IMO it’s because HKS and KE (1) didn’t want anyone else (VA, CPS,LB,for starters) to know their S#!t had gotten out of control with ANS’s addiction, and (2) HKS and KE were still under the illusion that they were in an omnipotent position as things stood with them feeling that they were still in charge of ANS and didn’t have to answer to outside authorities or worry about what she might say about other things in a hosptal or clinic treatment setting, (3) it might have opened up several cans of worms as far as Daniel’s inquest was concerned.
To the very best of my knowledge — no, she was not.
Tabor, I got an entirely different read from the article in Post # 7702. My understanding is that ANS called Virgie, but was so incoherent it was difficult to understand her. I thought Virgie's comments were very charitable in explaining why ANS sounded drugged. I do remember hearing one of ANS' former agents, or associates, saying that he had encouraged her to distance herself from her family, and he referred to them as "white trash". I do believe HKS did the same thing and took it to further extremes. There is no telling what he told ANS that Virgie may have or may not have said...the truth means little or nothing to HKS. This has been proved with the lies he has told...even to committing perjury in Florida! Here is what I read at Post 7702:
Virgie adds that she is as much in the dark as to Anna Nicole's condition as anyone else, and, like much of America, just wants to know what is going on. She tells Kevin that she has spoken to her daughter only once since Daniel's tragic, sudden death on September 10th from a lethal mixture of prescription drugs.
"She was so drugged up, I imagine [because of having to deal with] Danny's death," claims Virgie. "You know, she was so medicated, I think, I could not understand a word, other than, 'Danny's dead.' And she was crying, and trying to talk and mumbling -- you couldn't understand hardly anything she said. And as soon as she said that, the phone went click, so I don't know if she hung it up, or if somebody else hung it up for her. I don't know."
The Texas native claims to have raised Daniel until he was about six while Anna Nicole searched for work, and says she does not know why she was cut out of the boy's life when the former Playboy Playmate and Guess? model found success in Los Angeles.
"She is the one making the money, and the people surrounding her are gaining from it, so they don't want any of the family around," she explains. "I don't know why they don't want the family around. We have never asked for anything. She has never given us anything, you know? The immediate family has never been on TV and asked for anything."
I'm not defending nor condemning Virgie's actions now, because I don't know the facts about what is going on in the Bahamas. I'm getting mixed signals about the whole affair - depending on who I am listening to in the media and whose opinion I read here.

I thought she was, too.
They never determined that. A nurse witness said the bathroom in her house reeked of chlorox, but she was selling it at the time. I assumed it just was cleaned for the sale.
I also thought that investigators could find evidence of blood in the house no matter how well you clean.
But I felt all the other evidence, although circumstantial, pointed to her guilt. I will never figure out why people kill and think they could get away with it.

I was never an Anna Nicole fan, but I remember hearing many years ago, around the time of the start of her reality show that she used to send her family a lot of money, and because they never showed appreciation, and asked for more, she stopped sending it. I don’t have a “source” for that, however. I’m not sure if it was mentioned on her show when she had her cousin on, or if I read it.

In other words, neither of them should have left her in any substandard condition....with two "duh" babysitters.
She was DEAD when Howard left. He was absolutely certain but he needed someone else to find her that way.
Between 9:30 and 12:00, he didn't check her?? He did...when he sent Taz and Mo to the airport which is apparently vey close by.
