She said that he was young and therefore she should have a say in how any money is spent on Dannielynn just in case she wants a Porche when she’s 14. That, in my opinion, is an outrageous excuse for wanting custody or guardianship.
In that given scenario, I would think Howard would be the strange one, more than the family!
Reporter: What do you say to people who want to know why you’re wanting Dannielynn when look what happened to Vickie?
VA: “Vickie turned out OK, didn’t she? Other than the drug problem.”
She isn't saying I don't want custody here like she did on Greta's show...
Why wouldn’t Virgie know Donna Hogan? I’m just puzzled by that, or did I not hear correctly?
The reporter didn’t know very much at all about the case or ANS’s life or anything and this was the very first question she asked. It was very general as to “wanting Dannielynn” - in fact, it was the only question she asked her about the baby, I think.
She kicked Don Hogan out and made sure her family had no contact with him. Donna is a child of Don’s other marriage. Why would she have contact with her?
and my thought, too.. when she is 14 Larry will be 48 -- plus she cannot drive at 14 -- not until at least 16 and Larry would be 50! Good God, at 50 I hope he would be mature enough to decide how mature his own child is. She may believe what she is saying, but that doesn't sound right to me.... and saying to share the decision with one of Larry's parents -- it's like Larry is 18 years old instead of 34.
One other thing I picked up on...she said Larry moved in with HKS -- he didn't, I watched all the video outtakes from Tony Potts, he stayed at a hotel... and yesterday morning arrived at Horizons at 6:30 in the morning to claim his child and her possessions.
I'll give her the benefit of the doubt but.....

I agree with you — and especially with animals. I vacumn every day and am shocked at what the vacumn collects.
ANS life was a mess from 8th grade until she died.... so, no I wouldn't really say she did turn out okay -- she was beautiful on the outside, but had no substance inside.

Yeah, that’s right. Don Hogan left when Anna/Vickie was 2. They never saw him again.
Anna tracked him down the year she got Playmate of the Year, so he could come see her nude pix and go to the Playboy mansion for the party. That pretty much disgusted Virgie.
Donna Hogan wasn’t born until Don Hogan had re-married whoever the next wife was. Maybe Wanda? Their paths never crossed.
I think she was just trying to use an example regarding the driving scenario. I really don’t think we need to try to pick that apart because it was totally off the cuff.

I don’t know much about the book, but how do you write a book about Anna, Virgie, Howard, and never know them? I thought she would have had some contact.
Maybe she was so upset about someone questioning her parenting ability that she forgot the original intent of the question. The question in itself was disparaging against her and Anna. Maybe her first instinct was to defend herself and Anna. She didn’t really address the issue.
Anyone entering into the legal rhelm have to be prepared for pure he!! to enter their lives when the lawyers get started. I think it takes a special person to be an attorney... most of us wouldn't have the stomach for this.
She says that it’s not all Anna’s story but her story too. I haven’t read the book and I don’t know if she writes about Howie. She said some story about Anna wanting to buy her kids and talks about how Anna would tell girls she would steal their boyfriends. I don’t know but msgumshoe has read it I believe.

I just watched ShowBiz Tonight, and they said Virgie plans to sue LB for custody here in the states.
I think the point was that Larry couldn’t take Dannielynn back to the hotel, or even just out anywhere.
Funny, I had this vision night before last that Larry had gotten to take Dannielynn to the hotel their last night in Nassau, to stay with him and get ready for the flight. He’d never gotten to spend a night watching out for her, or getting up for bottles or whatever.
(I know, she sleeps all night - but just “being there for her” is what I mean, being fully, totally, responsible and in charge.)
It was so odd that I was clearly picturing that. It wasn’t true, but I was hoping it was, for some reason. I don’t usually think that much about it, other than working on the research.
