When Virgie called Horizons to check on Anna - she always spoke to a woman - not Howie - I have no doubt that woman was KE!
I have concluded that HK$ never intended Anna to de-tox from drugs. If she ever got clean - she would understand who truly cared about her and who didn’t. It is my speculation that after Daniel’s death - HK$ realized that he could replace meal ticket Anna with meal ticket Dannielynn - if he was “the widow” and named himself father/guardian of DL. So obvious only a sociopath would try it.

Right - agreed - goal was to keep ANS so drugged up after Daniel’s death (and to justify it because of her “depression”) that she had no chance whatsoever to be lucid enough to go for HELP re: her son’s death....or to let her accusing voice against Stern be heard outside the Horizons (even though it WAS HEARD at the funeral of Daniel). I think the fake marriage ceremony that he and KE “talked Anna into doing” - finally - (while she was drugged up) - was purely devised to claim HKS was Anna’s “husband” both for money purposes and for the purposes of escaping consideration by the police as chief suspect.
