Video: Thunderous boos for Miss USA at Miss Universe pageant — in Mexico City;

And is that a chant of “Mexico” I hear while the question’s being asked? Ah, well, don’t worry — that sort of thing will be magically assimilated away once they cross the border, join the next gran marcha, and have the Mexican flag they’re carrying replaced with a small American one by an “immigration rights” advocate who knows what plays well on TV and what doesn’t.

Let it be noted, too, that apparently this sort of thing’s been going on for days:

In the days leading up to the final selection, Miss USA Rachel Smith endured boos from the public because of her country’s attitude toward Mexicans living there.

She put on a brave face, as you’ll see here, but it may have gotten to her — she slipped and fell during the evening gown competition.

I can’t possibly imagine what “her country’s attitude toward Mexicans” might mean, unless the crowd was peeved that we’re so welcoming to illegals that we’re bleeding Mexico dry population-wise. Or is it that knotty $5,000 fine we’re (momentarily) insisting that they pay before they become full-fledged U.S. citizens notwithstanding their lawbreaking in entering the country and their burdening public services?

Classy folks. As you’re about to see, they’ll fit in well with the Democratic base.

My wife was watching that last night, while I glanced up now and then from FreeRepublic.

I saw them boo her and the first thought I had was “why the F*** do you want to come to my country if you hate us so much.”

Then, I thought “Donald Trump brought this to your city. Think you’d be a little grateful for the money we bring to you.”

Then, the Japanese girl was on and I forgot all about it. :)

Keith Ellison say's it because our superior skills allow us to send food cheaply to mexico, putting their small farmers out of business, so we OWE them jobs here in return.

My response is, as much as I want to offer amnesty to long-term illegals who love our country and have assimilated into OUR culture, I don't wan't a SINGLE IMMIGRANT who thinks we OWE them. Those people won't assimilate, they are trying to take over our country without firing a shot.

Why is this news?

I saw them cheering when the WTC towers came down.

Mexicans were cheering on 9/11? I never heard that. I thought it was mostly the durka-durkas that were cheering.

Saw it myself on one of the major networks. It was brief, but I remember the Dos XX beer signs on the umbrellas.
Subsequently, FReepers who were in Mexico that sad day, confirmed they saw street parties on 9-11.

That lady and the officials have more class in their little fingers than that whole crowd has. What great poise and self-control. Even if she fell and that may have disqualified her from winning, her composure under that kind of barbaric treatment should have made up for it.

That’s sick. It’s pathetic the way so much of the world hates us, yet flock to our country. They need to fix their own problems instead of resenting us for building a great nation flowing with opportunity.

You have to understand the culture of Mexico. Even the poorest of the poor, living on tortillas and salt, will skip meals to save money so they can attend a bull fight.

Which is nothing more than ritualized torture of a dumb beast. The bull is a symbol of strength, so to see it taken down is worth losing a few meals.

At first, I didn’t understand what I missed as I was channel surfing and caught her fall. Now it all makes sense. Mexicans should be ashamed.

Mexicans should be ashamed.

Right...ashamed...right, that's going to happen.

Unfortunately most Americans are naive to the vastly different culture that is invading our country.
