Are poisonous snakes really indigenous to Tennessee?absolutely. hardly a week goes by that I don't get bit by a copperhead or a water moccasin. The rattlers usually only bite tourists though.

This happened in Arizona, but we have a lot of copperheads here in Tennessee, and a few timber rattlers.
Oh Diana, I heard on the news that Miss Wisconsin called 9/11 for Miss Tennessee when this happened, Miss Iowa picked the fang out of MT’s foot. We country gals stick together (grin).

Let’s see...timber rattlers, copperheads, and cottonmouths...I would say that’s a definite yes.

Are poisonous snakes really indigenous to Tennessee? I think its time to change my vacation plans! One of the things I love most about Hawaii! No snakes, poisonous or otherwise. Unless someone smuggles one in or if one hitches a ride in from Guam on an Air Force jet.
