Salad ping to you.
Like, duh!
The fact that we detected DNA of olives may mean that Chios exported more than wine," Foley said. "Their agricultural production might have been more sophisticated than we've suspected."
Duh, again. I amazes me how these guys are always surprised when they find out mankind before their generation didn't live in caves.
Newman's Own 2,400 year old Salad Dressing.
I’m sorry, were you a-dressing me? [rimshot!] Because I’m ornery this morning, I won’t be pinging the older one shown below, because I feel left out of the loop. ;’)

No sign yet of skeletons of the crou’.
Which reminds me. When I quit one of my jobs, my teammates took me out to a Chinese restaurant in the suburbs. When the waitress, who wasn’t Chinese, asked what kind of dressing I wanted on my salad that came with the meal, I began to question of I was in a Chinese restaurant.
Of course, there was a much better known shipwreck involving an entire shipment of salad dressing: the Sinko de Mayo.
Snearing at our ancestors will be our comeuppance.
If you took 10,000 NY residents and stuck them in the Amazon - they would be hard-pressed to find edible vegetation, fashion tools to kill game, or for food preparation, minerals or spices for preservation and the ability to create fire for warmth and cooking.
Would they be able to hoard seeds for future seasons, raise livestock and develop transportation for hauling and harvesting. Not to mention manufacturing clothing and shelter
And forget experimental medicines to treat fever or wounds.
We are at the end of evolution....should we restart the cycle?
ans there is the whole ball of wax re archaeologists and scientists = they are not supposed to "assume" - which can short circuit what they may find and ignore...
They are supposed to be searching and then take whatever they find and go from there...

No croutons?
Now, that our salad days are upon us, lettuce begin the puns. I am sure we will come up with some 24 carrot puns, plus some that leave the English language radished. If we can consistently make bad puns, we may even earn a decent celery, doing so. Of course, we could end up like the cucumber, in a real pickle. We will have to see how many we can spinach. There are some cabbage heads, who will insist we are violating Cole’s law. Perhaps, this is all due to a leek at the very highest levels. Maybe someone can turnip some new puns.
Was it found near any of the Thousand Islands?
