**Ladies and Gentlemen...it's the FR College Football 2007-08 Bowl Games Thread**

Posted on 12/19/2007 1:19:19 PM PST by GOP_Raider

It's the most wonderful time of the year...With my Utes winning bowl games and BYU losing so I'll be of good cheer...it's the most wonderful time of the year...

--Ow! Tomatoes hurt you know. Sheesh...

During the regular season, I would normally do my fancy and mildly humorous graphical elements and those of you who would like me to feature their school's games, I would oblige. However, since we've got miles to go before we sleep, I'll re-ping the list as we go along and include said graphics. Sound like a deal? Excellent.

Tomorrow the fun will begin. (For me, at least). :)

HUge review coming up in the Tenn Wisc game. Tennessee guy clearly fumbled on the side line — but Wisconsin guy grabbed the ball in the air and landed out of bounds. Gonna be a close call as to whether they actually recovered the ball.

Wisconsin player never had control of the ball on the recovery. Should be Tennessee first down at Wisconsin 40.

Great game in Tampa.

Tennessee 21 Wisconsin 17 - 1:30 left. Tenn has 4th and 10 at Wisc 40. Wisc out of timeouts.

Happy New Year to THE Ohio State FReepers. May your 2008 be plentiful and your interactions with Wolverines minimal. ;)

Thank you, GOP_Raider. We don't have a Carr to beat up anymore. Happy New Year to you too. And thanks for doing such a good job on these college football threads. It takes a lot of time and attention and I, for one, appreciate your work.

First Final of the Day :
Outback Bowl : Tennessee 21 Wisconsin 17. What a great football game. Both teams played thier hearts out.

Other action :
Cotton Bowl : Missouri is absolutely manhandling Arkansas. Missouri 28 Arkansas 7 15:00 4th Period.

Capitol One bowl : Florida 14 Michigan 14 6:25 Qtr 2. Michigan has blocked one FG, Florida missed another -- then Michigan Fumbles on the 1 yard line. This one looks like it will go to the wire.

Gator Bowl : Virginia 16 Texas tech 7 2 min left in first half.

Wow - Texas tech looks horrible. Thier QB Harrell just got his SECOND intentional grounding penalty in his OWN end zone. 2 safeties on the same mistake. WOW WOW WOW.

Virginia 18 Texas tech 7 :40 left in first half - Virginia driving.

Let us all kick the year off right and watch Arkansas (and rightful Heisman winner pictured below) pluck Mizzou today in the Cotton Bowl.

Last chance to change that prediction. They're well into the 4th quarter now.

Looking for a pinup of Trent Lott?

Michigan is playing surprisingly well. I think most of the “smart” people said Florida would clobber Michigan. Of course I believe last years Rose Bowl was tied at halftime.

Michigan fans have to be wondering where was any of this against Ohio State.

Missouri 38 Arkansas 7

Obviously this proves how big and slow the SEC is. LOL!

Every time I’ve checked the ESPN College Football scoreboard they have the Missouri-Arkansas score at the top as their “upset watch.” How in the world do they figure a Missouri win to be an upset?

I always optimistically predict victory for my teams. In fact, I’m hoping for a spectacular comeback any moment now. Well, not really. Too many distractions at year end and Mizzou is clearly better regardless.

Arkansas won’t win more than 3 games(all non conference cupcakes) next year unless they change their QB. Petrino may unwittingly devalue himself in the process when you combine his recent history with Atl. He may wish to jump ship but will anyone throw him a life vest? I’m getting ahead of myself here but he’s really got his work cut out for him.

Um well of course any win over an SEC team has to be considered an upset. LOL!

I understand. I'm cautiously optimistic about Georgia's chances in the Sugar.

Why? Your hard drive getting cluttered with them?

I was leaning more this way

Georgia will slaughter the Rainbows. I don’t think many ppl know how tough they are, well coached. And you already know my predictions are beyond doubt.
