I normally don't like to post comments on celebrity buffoons like Britney Spears,Paris Hilton or any others of the same ilk. However I don't seem be be able to avoid them. I turn on the TV and there they are. I tune in to the radio and there they are. I log on to the Internet and there they are. Free Republic was just about the last place I could go and not have these imbeciles in my face. The big problem is that so many pay attention. The big problem with Spears is that she never had any talent to begin with. The best thing about her was that at one time she had a cute shape. BFD! I can go to any beach in or resort and see many women that have better looks. That's it! NO TALENT except for being able to be famous and make money with NO TALENT. I guess that's a talent. She is an uneducated, unsophisticated bore. So why all the attention. I'm not at all interested but it bothers me that so many people are interested. What's up freepers. Why are so many people interested in celebrities? I don't get it.

She was talented - from the Mickey Mouse Club we used to watch. And she seemed so cute and innocent with every advantage... I do feel a fascination with what happens to her in a way i don’t feel about other celebrities.

There's lots of FR threads I skip because I ain't interested in those topics. I admire your willingness to jump in on one like this that you find so distasteful, but truly, we won't mind if you bail.

I don’t frequent these threads much either, but it’s a break from non-stop politics. My anger gets up so I check out something different for awhile.

The primaries haven’t even started yet and I’m already sick of this election.
