It *was* in the United States, somewhere in the east, if memory serves (it sometimes doesn't). That footage has been shown in snips or entire many times since the, hmm, late 40s or early 50s, when the event shown occurred. A steady wind (common in the area) got the bridge vibrating at its natural frequency, and it got more and more like a guitar string until it just fell to pieces. It seems to me in the final seconds there's a guy running toward the camera trying (successfully) to get back to the land. :') He was trying to get to a car that had been abandoned earlier that day.
