Don Shula, the coach of that Miami team, wants an asterisk put in the NFL record book if the Pats do go undefeated.

"The Spygate thing has diminished what they've accomplished," he said earlier this season. "You would hate to have that attached to your accomplishments. They've got it."

While praising Brady, the columnist quotes Don Shula, who, like most of the country, believes the Patriots' fraud should be marked with an asterisk.

When Shula and the Dolphins had a perfect season, no one hated them because of it. Similarly, the Patriots are not hated because of their "wins," as many of their irrational fans like to claim, but because of their blatant cheating.

Further, the years of cheating clearly gave this piece of garbage team an unfair advantage in terms of compiling artificially high levels of "wins" and, as a direct result, attracting free agent talent which otherwise would have gone elsewhere. So, whose position on the Patriots Cheating Scandal has more credibility, Coach Shula's or Billy the Cheat's? Let's see now; to address this issue, maybe we should call to mind an unassailable proposition, with which many Patriot knuckleheads will always have to grapple:

Bass Player kids me about the Pats frequently,because he
knows when he plays up their accomplishments this season,
I’ll quickly say “Yeah, but they cheat!” and he just as
quickly says “Everyone does.. but the Pats got caught.”

Being that both of us are from Massachusetts, and he’s a
Dallas fan (so sad) and I prefer ice hockey, the quips
usually end there.. but isn’t there always some truth
in jest?

I think that, asterisk or not.. the fans won’t forget.

I don’t care much about the NFL..however I think this is sour grapes...I’ve heard that the Dolphins have a champaign party if a team loses and doesn’t beat the record...now the taping is such a BIG thing that Shula wants to diminish what is done on the field by the players...Kinda like a guy on the losing team complaining that anybody could do what Brady did .....

What happened to a player or players congratulating someone for breaking a record????
