“It’s a private matter,” replied marketing man Gene Kolber when we asked about the paternity of his newborn granddaughter. His daughter, ESPN “Monday Night Football” reporter Suzy Kolber gave birth to a baby girl, Kellyn, in Connecticut yesterday.

Best wishes to Suzy and her little girl.

As a mom I am taking the high road...and leaving you fellas to the locker room speculations as to paternity and/or family status.

I take it she’s a committed muff diver and can’t legally marry her “it”. The baby, I’m ASSuming, was “donated” by her Grandfather.

Actually, I’m seeing where she is, in fact, married to some guy named Eric Brady. Don’t know how old that info is though. Whether they split or what...

I doubt 'grand pa' donated anything (unless he is NOT a blood relative) as he would be too close a genetic relative to be used a donor. I have read that 'partners' sometimes get their brothers to make the donation so that the child carries the genes of both parental units.

And I am still on my high road...

She used to be the moderator on NFL Matchup which at the time was probably the most technical Xs and Os football discussion show. So if she knows less about football than your mother you need to get your mom on TV.

Not bad for 44 year old!

But she's no Erin Andrews.

What other kind of sideline babe would want to go into a locker room

It is gonna be rocking in Rupp Arena this Sunday! The 2 Billy’s going at it again. What’s the word down there? Y’all think it’ll take a victory over us to get in?

BTW: Suzy is no Ashley Judd.

Go Big Blue!

I don’t think beating us right now is worth all that much. But the winner of tomorrow’s game probably gets in. I’ve pretty much already resigned myself to going to the NIT.

But we’ll be back, we’re getting some help in the front-court next year, so I figure in two years, we should be back in the Final Four.

I used to be ukwildcats on here, btw. I still think Billy D has done a great job this year with having to fill his top 6. If we lose Sunday we finish 11-5 in the league, I still think we get in with 2 wins in the SEC tourney.

As for in two years, we should be back in the Final Four. I remember thinking that following 1998. Of course we had Tubby, so it’s not the same.

I’m admittedly biased but strong consideration has to be giving Billy G for COY in SEC. NO ONE thought we’d be where we are prior to the conference games.

Go Big Blue!

Senior Day at Rupp Arena? Check the stats about our winning percentage since 1976 on that day.

Ha, ha! Hey gg, does the phrase "seven in a row" mean anything to you? It'll be 8 in a row Sunday.

Well, yes it does. As in the seven in a row we reeled off on UF prior to their 7 game streak. You know what else reminds me of seven? The number of titles we have.

Gloat while you are able because the natural order of things in the SEC is currently being restored.

As for Sunday when we win enjoy the NIT. SEVENteen straight appearances.

What does the O’Dome seat, btw? Two time defending champions should at least be able to sell out a 10,000 seat arena, shouldn’t they? At least you can sell it out for sure when ONE team visits: the team which will be dancing come tourney time.

Take solace though, football is right around the corner.
