Yeah, but how does one search for a 'username' and their posting history?

The search question was answered for me by boxerblues through this link: How to use the new search. Thanks, boxerblues!

Other than using this method, the only other way I can think to search a user's poster history is to search their posts from their profile/home page, following the "In Forum" link, which so far is still there. The URL has merely been renamed... http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/posts-by:loboinok/

Thanks! I, too, started lurking on FR back in '97 after accidently stumbling upon it while doing research on Abe Lincoln for one of my son's homework assignments. I really got hooked in 2001, just before 9/11 when the BATF shot up that guy's house in L.A. and then bulldozed it down the next day. Remember that one?

It is not old school or new school.

For typing with a monospace typeface (e.g. Courier, Letter Gothic), two spaces are used after a period. For typesetting with a proportional typeface (e.g. Times Roman, Helvetica, most others), a single space is used. That is the way it was (pick up a 100 year-old typeset book) and the way it is (look at a monospaced legal document).

Who uses the liberal MLA? They were leaders in the so-called gender-neutral language garbage?

If you have firefox and a scrolling mouse wheel you can make the text larger very easily...just hold down the control key and move the scroll wheel....

I will continue to use MLA as an authority until someone comes-up with a conservative alternative. I figured that the single/double space thing had something to do with the demise of typewriters.

Don’t know if there’s a current thread about this, but what’s up with the new changes today? The fonts on the New Posts To You page are big and messed up, and now New Posts To You stays red even after I check out my pings! Please fix.
