“The difference is that when Reagan died he was not an active enemy of theirs and had been out of politics for years in essence he was a non-combtant. They were celebrating his death from a personal viewpoint. Kennedy is still very much an active enemy.

I’m honestly expressing my desire for him to move on, drop dead , or do whatever needs doing to stop him from being an active force for a totalitarian state.”

I assume then that you would more closely compare yourself with people who would be celebrating if our President and Vice-President both passed away today? I’m sure I can go find some DUmmy quotes about how Bush is a tyrant and is himself taking away our freedoms. They would probably be having a ball at news like that.

Actually I was thinking back to 1968 and the attitudes toward enemy combatants. Oh and BTW I notice that you admitted that your prayers are for the evildoers, not their victims - nice. How do you know where MJK is and is in no deed of prayers? By all accounts both adultry and fornication are sins. I go back to my comment of how you remind me of the people protesting the death penalty outside the prison where the murderer is being executed. All of their sympathy is with the criminal not the victims. As all of yours seems to be with totalitarians rather than their victims.

You may have been thinking of a different time, but how you just rationalized yourself against Kennedy leads me to believe that you would totally understand people celebrating Bush and Cheney’s death, correct?

You are the one rationalizing aid and comfort to the enemy. Your sympathey is all for the Kennedy's of the world and none for their victims. Kennedy is the enemy, and "Frankly my dear I don't gave a" rat's behind about your attempts to smear me with some sort of liberal label. People like you are part of the problem. You think that we can afford to consort with the enemy. It's people like you who are responsible for John Mccain being the Republican standard bearer. If you're too deluded to know who the enemy is, then you really don't understand what Kennedy and his ilk stand for and are doing. I'm sure you totally understand how Jane Fonda felt, correct?

That was a good rant to try and shift topics, but for the third time:

Would you condone libs celebrating Bush and Cheney’s death, or would they be wrong because they disagree with you?

As you said, nice try to change the subject, but the subject is those who foolishly provide aid and comfort to the enemy. Particularly those in a nominally conservative forum who publicly express “prayers” for one of the worst totalitarian advocates present in government today. I answered your question abount Reagan, but that wasn’t good enough, so now you’re putting up a straw man. Sorry good buddy - I’m not buying it.

A straw man argument is a fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent’s position. Your position is that you are looking forward to Ted Kennedy’s death becasue he is your enemy. He is your enemy becasue he curtails your freedoms. I really don’t want to venture over to DU to try and find quotes, so think about some of the ranting you’ve seen or heard about Bushiter taking away our liberties. With that in mind, beside idiology, how are you different thaan they are if they celebrate Bush’s death?

As far as aid and comfort to the enemy, if any of my FRiends feel it in them to pray that terrorists find Christ and realize the errors of their ways, are they TRAITORS too (which you just accused me of), or is it just me because you ran out of points and had to resort to namecalling?

Exactly so. Your misrepresentation of my position is that the celebration of the downfall of evil is the exact same thing as the celebration of the downfall of good (to give the current administration the benefit of the doubt). You are either a moral relativist not believing in moral absolutes and really not seeing any difference between the two and hence to be pitied, or you know this and are just trying to score some sort of debate point rather than discussing an issue in which case you are just an a$$hole and likewise to be pitied. Like I said Jack, I'm not buying your strawman.

I stated your position and a logical conclusion based on that. I then asked you if that is the case and the only answer you’ve given me is that you’re right and they’re wrong because they disagree with you politically.

Thanks. Since you will neither dispute my assertion nor point out how it’s incorrect I can only assume it’s right and you’re too stubborn to admit it. Good day.
