In her new book, Know Your Power: A Message to America's Daughters, Nancy Pelosi inspires all women with a collection of wise sayings from those who helped her become one of the most powerful women in U.S. government. When Nancy Pelosi became the first female speaker of the House, she made history -- and with her book, she hopes to encourage mothers and grandmothers, daughters and granddaughters to never lose faith and to always follow their dreams.
Said Nancy: "I find it humbling and deeply moving when women and girls approach me, looking for insight and advice. If women can learn from me, in the same way I learned from the women who came before me, it will make the honor of being Speaker of the House even more meaningful."
Momlogic spoke with Pelosi to find out: How does this busy politician and mother of five juggle it all? She shares the top five secrets of her parenting success, in her own words.

1. Be organized and plan ahead: "Having five children in six years taught me the necessity of being organized. As I always said to my children, 'Proper preparation prevents poor performance.' They still quote it today!"
2. Multitask: "Get more hours out of your day by doing more than one thing at a time. (Learning to multitask as a mother was my best training for being speaker!)"
3. Treasure any time you get to spend with your children. "I love being Speaker of the House, but the best jobs I will ever have are mother and grandmother."
4. Read with them: "Reading to and with your child will pave the way for a love of books. It will help ensure their success in school and open new worlds to them."
5. Encourage: "Teach your children to take chances and try new things. When they succeed, congratulate them and tell them how proud you are. When they fail, congratulate them and tell them how proud you are of their efforts."
Just lost my breakfast. Ugh.
It also helps to have a crooked Dem politician father...
The title of her book is a more accurate insight as to just what motivates Ms. Pelosi. Of course, I suppose she doesn’t see that POWER motive as applying to unborn women....nor her mothering advice to unborn mothers.
I doubt that mightily, considering the way that she's nothing-tasking the entire House. Lazy little demagogue, she is.
Tommy D. helped make Baltimore the city you see on HBO series like “The Corner” and “The Wire”. SF can’t be far behind.
It also forced Mr. Pelosi to work late every night.
But, I wouldn't brag about her power if I were her because, she is the first woman speaker with a do nothing congress with the lowest approval rating in history. My, my such an achievement. With all their disgusting hatred for George Bush, history will be much kinder to him than to Pelosi and congress. A moment after she's dead....life will go on and she won't even be a memory except to God when he will ask the REAL important question about the missing millions of babies that didn't make it to earth because of her and her cohorts.
What advice does she have about making the right decisions when it comes to choosing someone to slut around with and getting an abortion?
She should advise those women to have self-worth and realize that getting someone to have sex with you does not equate to getting him/them to love or respect you.
It is ironic that her top 5 words of wisdom for women all focus around children.
From the staunch pro-abort Pelosi.
Wonder how many of her brood she would have aborted if it was legal for her to do so. With her age I wonder how many may have been born AFTER Roe?
"We have broken the marble ceiling."
Oh and I forgot:
Marry a very very rich man with no testosterone. Walk all over him and get him to pay for everything and be as vindictive and manipulative as possible. Never forgive a slight. Do all those things and you can be me too!
Part of the book is listed on NPR. It is unreadable!
HORRIBLE if she wrote it (which I doubt).
Questioner who's approached Nan: "Speaker, what do you do to keep your boobs from jiggling when you blink your eyes?"
