We filled the trucks up with gas. We figured it would be a good place to store generator gas. We couldn't siphon it though. Some kind of theft device. We have a tank for the next storm now.

I’ll defer to the Hurricane/Wx experts here— if any of those tracks occur as we see in the latest model here in post #127, ya’ll think we’ll see some good rain in DFW?

Live in Montgomery County - borders Harris County where Houston is -. Reached 101 degrees today. Now it’s 75 degrees, 90% humidity.

The NHC is being fairly conservative with forecast intensity for Edouard.

“did it hit 107 as forecast? what’s the humidity like there?”

According to weather.com, it only got up to 103 yesterday. They say it will be 108 tomorrow! lol The humidity hasn't been bad relatively speaking. It'll be something like 60 percent in the early morning hours, but will drop as the days progress.

I do hear the wind whipping up outside. I guess the storms down around Waco mentioned just above are headed this way.

It should. There are freepers from Brownsville to Dallas though. If yall need anything let us know and we could probably do a county line water brigade.

“They will have a tropical storm, perhaps even a hurricane tomorrow night, and nobody has a clue about it.”

First I saw was BellStar’s thread, and I’m likely in for a direct hit. (West Galveston, no seawall)

I thought this thing died in the Gulf... oops.

Daughter, in Corpus about 30-35 miles south of us, got between 5 and 6, no such luck here.

We got just enough to restock the mosquito supply.

Just in time for the 25th anniversary of Alicia, almost the same origin also.

Remarkable similarities between Alicia and Edouard...

We just had to go out in the yard and get things put away. Wind is really coming up in Killeen. Looks like the storms are dying down though. Doubt we get any, as usual, lol. I grilled steaks this evening. Before I fired up my grill, it was reading 180 degrees inside.
