Why have Haliburton and Dick Cheney been demonized by the Socialist Left?

After a routine pick-up game of senior softball today, I was sitting at the picnic table eating pretzels and having a beer with a few other guys discussing "stuff" when Homer, the "softball liberal" made a comment about how evil Haliburton and Dick Cheney were.

I've had to put up with this "Haliburton/Cheney" crap for 8 years now and for the life of me, I have yet to figure out why Haliburton and our V.P. Cheney have been so demonized by the socialists.

I normally do not post threads or vanities but the time has come to get some answers to my question. So please, what the heck is the deal with Haliburton, Cheney and the hatred they have been targeted with by the Democrat socialists?

Based on your description he still hasn't articulated a point.

No he hasn't nor has anyone who has ever printed the evil Cheney/Haliburton connection......

That's why I'm baffled after 8 years of reading this crap........

Explain to him that Haliburton had a no bid under Clinton.

“I would further refine your definition to libs get aggravated whenever anyone other than themselves..”

You’re right, and I almost did add that. :-)

Print this out, and bring it with you. Next time he starts on Iraq, ask him why we shouldn't have gone into Iraq. When he says "bush lied" or there weren't any WMDs, make a big display of the fact that you are handing this to him.

One reason: it is the theme some Dems/Libs developed long ago because they could tie the administration to “war profiteers” as Haliburton provides some services of the sort needed in military engagements.

If you investigate Haliburton you might find that one of its corporate predecessors was Brown & Root, which I believe was an industrial concern around in WWII and made submarines, among other “really bad” things.

Lyndon and Lady Bird Johnson became B&R shareholders. LBJ was not shy. I believe that Lady Bird Johnson, before she died, was one of the major shareholders of Haliburton.

Dick Cheney was her president, or was he a VP at Haliburton too? Not sure on that.

Dig a little and you can show them facts that throw water on their lunacy.
