Pardon Me Daylily

The Hemerocallis ‘Pardon Me’, also known as a Daylily, has a very fragrant, small cranberry-wine, almost red flower, with a yellow throat, and a flower size of 3”. With dark green foliage, this daylily will reach a height of 18” and a plant spread of 23-29”. ‘Pardon Me’ will bloom from May through July, with outstanding color and a definite rebloomer. ‘Pardon Me’ prefers a full sun area that is well-drained.

Although the blooms will last only for one day, there are many blooms on strong stems that rise above tall grassy foliage, (remove in late fall). ‘Pardon Me’ is considered to be pest and deer resistant. Use for cut flowers, massing, edging, borders or in mixed containers and tubs.

Hello everyone.

Amy those colors in your post this morning are just gorgeous!

I am posting to my full list today, because I've been working on making my pics smaller in KB's. Please,...anyone on dial-up, if these are still too big let me know? I'm very sorry if my other pics were messing up your ping list, or freezing your computers.

This will be a test.

The Finger Nose Hair Trimmer is the “pick” of nasal hair removers! Looks just like you have a giant finger up your nose. Not only a silly gag, it actually trims unwanted hair from inside your nostrils.

And it's only $9.95

Yorkie, I have those flowers, and other varieties all over my yard. A few are still blooming, but they are at their end now. :(

I am going to try and get your Banana Bread made today. I’ve been so busy making curtains, tablecloths, and fixing up the house for the wedding, that this is the first chance I’ve had to make it up. Oh, I also had to wait a couple days to ripen some bananas. ;) If it’s as good as it sounds, I’ll probably make a couple of them for the wedding.

I do lose some detail, but only I notice it. I am making them smaller so maybe I won’t lose too much detail. I don’t know if that really works or not. I only use 72 DPI on all of my stuff, so that’s not the problem.

Thanky you, Meg! ;)

Hi, doll! Just wanted to weigh in on the following:

For those people on dial-up who are having a problem with graphics on a page who are using IE, they can go to Tools, select Options, then select the Advanced Options tag and in the Multimedia section uncheck Show images.

Who the hell do you think you are! I have dial up and enjoy the graphics shown here at Amy's, including yours, when they're not overly large.

No graphics will be shown just little colored dots in a square.

Well, how special.
Instead of you telling us how NOT to see graphics -how about you optimizing yours so they won't take so damned long to load.

Gee, Sis, maybe I'll just ask you not to post ANY graphics. That way, I can keep 'Show images' checked so I can see photos on other sites.

Love you, (((((Sis))))), sorry this was my first post back.

Thank you so much,Grannie.

WOW ... your graphic is beautiful. How does it look compared to your original? It only has 82,000 KBs; everyone should be able to open this. Thank you for helping make Amy’s Place appealing to everyone.

Grannie, is it true the blooms turn yellow in the fall?

The nut bread also bakes up very well in those tiny loaf pans, and then can be individually wrapped in cling wrap. Oh, I hope you like it - after all my raving about the recipe, I would feel terrible if it wasn’t up to your expectations. (I did mash up the bananas, tho.)

(This kinda reminds me of the old Murphy’s Law - when you recommend a doctor - he is the one that nearly kills your friend. When you recommend a dentist, your friend will suffer horrible tooth aches for the rest of her life. When you recommend a store - your friend will get arrested for shoplifting - falsely, of course.) My fingers are crossed.......

Art of Poetry, The

To gaze at a river made of time and water
And remember Time is another river.
To know we stray like a river
and our faces vanish like water.

To feel that waking is another dream
that dreams of not dreaming and that the death
we fear in our bones is the death
that every night we call a dream.

To see in every day and year a symbol
of all the days of man and his years,
and convert the outrage of the years
into a music, a sound, and a symbol.

To see in death a dream, in the sunset
a golden sadness--such is poetry,
humble and immortal, poetry,
returning, like dawn and the sunset.

Sometimes at evening there's a face
that sees us from the deeps of a mirror.
Art must be that sort of mirror,
disclosing to each of us his face.

They say Ulysses, wearied of wonders,
wept with love on seeing Ithaca,
humble and green. Art is that Ithaca,
a green eternity, not wonders.

Art is endless like a river flowing,
passing, yet remaining, a mirror to the same
inconstant Heraclitus, who is the same
and yet another, like the river flowing.

Jorge Luis Borges

I have one of those!

Forgetting who I got it from, I didn’t order it. It came in the package with the stuff I did order and I have it standing right here between two computers.

Beautiful Daylily, Yorkie. Thank you.

I’ve been considering adding some of these to my yard. Their pictures look wonderful. I think I will check with my Sunset Garden book to make sure they will do well here.

Hope you are having a Marvelous Monday.

When I posted the links for Optimizing graphics, it was not my intention to drive anyone away from Amy’s Place.

My hope was that people would practice using the Optimizer Sites in the hopes of making The Place a pleasant experience for all.

Graphics are a large part of Amy’s Place and I LOVE Graphics.

If graphics continue to cause problems for many of our visitors, we will be left with 5 or 6 FReepers coming here on a daily or weekly basis. At that point, I will need to consider closing Amy’s Place again. I really do NOT want to do that.

Thank you.
