Good move!

Most of us homeschool moms don’t really have the bucks to spare on stuff. Palin supporters have more money to spend.

Besides, then I am envied more because I got one!!!

Hope the nasal spray works, Bear! When David was home last, he suggested doing a Neti-wash each day to clean out my sinuses. It works really well, even if I don’t remember to do it every day. It especially helps when the weather is really dry, like it is now, and when we start using the central heat, and the house gets so dry. It feels kinda funky because you pour water into one nostril and it comes out the other, but it sure does the trick!

So...Not Valerie is over on the Eastern Shore, and the van broke down. Can’t get the necessary part until tomorrow.

Which actually may be best since with the storm they’re talking about closing the bridge...

Through fire and water, earth and air,

Riding in a barrel,

Under hill and over hill,

From the end of the bag

(though no bag went over me),

I have returned.

Hey, I had a half-liter of Coke in here. Whassup wit dat?!

Nebber mind. Good to be "home".

Fabulous. What kind of storm have you got coming? I haven’t been paying attention.

It’s the code that deletes, I think...John put in a drop table code, I think...and it caused all these problems. In the case of the cartoon, the parents named their kid something that would delete the student database when it was entered.

I think.

Did I get it right, ecurb?

There’s a big ‘ol storm off the coast of North Carolina. Not quite up to tropical storm/hurricane strength, but we’re getting a lot of rain and it’s beating up the folks down on the coast.

The bridge is a 20 mile span across the mouth of the Bay. They restrict traffic in stages (depending on vehicle type) when the winds are high.

I coulda told em it was gonna rain today. The State Fair opened.

Aw geeze. Poor kids and critters at the fair! Well, I hope it’s not too bad for her getting home.

It’s not too bad at the fair. It’s still held at the Richmond Raceway (they’re moving it in a few years) and the exhibit buildings are permanent. It’s pretty much a given that it rains the first couple of days every year.

Mrs. will be okay. Just home a day later than planned.

Ack! What is it with car parts? We're supposed to get some stormy weather tomorrow, too. I wonder if it's the same system that's fixing to go through your place.

They just got the Turbo Diesel in at the Ford place, and they're making noises about how tricky it is to install, so it looks like we'll be lucky to get it back tomorrow! Arrgh! I wanna get outta here!

Well, Mrs. is out on the Eastern Shore. Where, according to our Governor, Virginia borders Delaware...

It’s pretty rural over there.

Yup. They cling to their guns and religion out there. Good folks in general.

You got it exactly right, 2J, and the last part was pointing out that a well-designed database would not be affected by that sort of flaw.

I thought it was funny. But geek humor is notoriously inbred.
