It's a beautiful fall day with delicious cool air and BIL is en route to his home and family. There's no treatment aside from keeping him comfortable and Mass. General has aced it. His daughters have made him a big welcome home sign.

Today I went on a 'mission' to collect some cute little gifs that say "Thank You", "Hugs", "Hello" etc. 'cause you all use such cute ones. :)

Oh, yeah! I found lots, saved some, but here I am just writing instead. :) I don't know how you do it - have (or take) the time to post such darling little animations with each of your posts, but I applaud you! (I think here's where I'm s'posed to use one of those cute li'l gifs, right?)

The FunDays Calendar for this month is better than it was last month.

Maybe we should just stick with that one and forget the others! :) It's the one that listed International Storytelling Festival for both yesterday and today. It would be nice actually to find *just one* that is good and easy to use - and consistent. But, by double checking holidays with two or three calendars, we usually see at least one or two of the same holidays listed for that day, which is a good sign. :)

I was late but I made it!

Shhhhhh, let's don't talk about being late - Amy may fire me for being late today, as well as AWOL.

We ate at Red Lobster a couple of weeks ago. I love their biscuits. I could eat half a dozen. :) That is one of Marissa's favorite places to eat. I'm saving that recipe .... and also making a note of the Pillsbury biscuits that you mentioned a couple of posts down.

When my husband gets hungry for shrimp, we always go to Red Lobster - I don't like seafood so I eat chicken - it's about the only thing on the menu that ISN'T seafood - but I can go there for those biscuits if nothing else!

As for the Pillsbury, make sure it's the only brand you buy - there are other brands in the frozen food section, and I bought one of them once when there were no Pillsbury's - they are not good, not even toasted! Pillsbury's are light and fluffy, with just a tiny bit crusty on top and bottom.

Oh, Lonestar! There is a Weinie thread in the Finest archives..Perhaps some can be found..I hope so.

My daughter and 7 kitties went home to n of Houston Friday to a mess ..One more tall tree is ready to fall..They left two kittens for me..I find the youngest (2 months) doesn’t sleep from 11pm til 4am..Neither do I. They make me laugh..They are so cute..so I don’t kill em.
LOL

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been AWOL...lots of stuff going on here but wanted to introduce you to the latest addition to our household. Meet Susie...a 1 year old "pound puppy" we adopted from the shelter. I almost wanted to rename her "mini-me" as she looks just like a 20 lb. version of 60 lb. Rusty plus has almost the same disposition. Giz took to her right away. It's only been a week and a challange with a one year old...but...I honestly think Rusty sent her to us.

((((hugs all around)))
